1909 Indian Head & Lincoln cents
1865 Three Cents, silver & nickel

1916 Barber & Mercury dimes
1838 Capped Bust & Liberty Seated quarters
1916 Barber & Standing Liberty quarters
1839 Capped Bust & Liberty Seated half dollars (With Drapery, the No Drapery being a one year type in my opinion would not be the one to include, or do both)

1921 Morgan & Peace dollars

don't forget the 1938 Buffalo/Jefferson nickel......
*the 1857 should be a Flying Eagle cent.

Of all the transitional sets listed the only ones I have are the 1909 cents, 1883 nickels (a three of them) and the 1793 cents.

Since teamwork made this set happen, and deep pockets can only afford this set, why not make a virtual set?
Lets do it right here on this thread.
I would have to believe that out of all the CCF members, this set exists.
How about we start posting what we have in our collections to make this set a reality on the CCF website.

Whats funny is I only have a 1916 Merc Dime with a hole in it for a necklace.

For the 1839 cents, there would be the silly head, booby head, matron head, and petite head.

Not unachievable, as only the petite head is slightly uncommon.

Since both flying eagle and large cents were also struck in 1856, would this year be included as well, along with the 1857?

Some of these are very tough, if downright impossible (example 1913 nickel). Once we start posting pictures, I'm assuming all coins count owned or not?

I would suggest owned by the poster. (IMO, anyone can copy and paste from the internet...)

This should be fun!!

Thanks, I missed that one.

The silly head, booby head, and petite head are varieties of the matron head type so, yes they would be included.

The 1856 Flying Eagle cent is considered more of a pattern coin rather than a coin struck for circulation and for that reason it is not included.

That would be okay for the very good reasons you state.

@ Moe145

Makes sense, however some of these are not possible, like the 1913 Liberty nickel mentioned. I guess in those cases we improvise.
