Seeing some great looking coins. That 1955 DDO is a coin I know I wold like to have. Nice $4 notes Steve, I have been keeping a eye out for Canadian $4 notes since last year when I saw one, but didn't know at the time they had very good value .. so I didn't buy it I know after this thread I will be picking up some coins from other countries ....

The next coin is arguably the best early commemorative design by the US. There are 14 different mint/dates of them alas I only have three but strive to complete the mini series. someone once told me "you can never have enough Oregon trail half dollars", I agree. 1936 s Oregon Trail Commemorative half.

Muddler . . you have some beautiful commemoratives. My selection is limited but I can see why completing your collection could become addicting.

1928 Peace dollar - the better one of two 28's found when you could still get $20 rolls of Silver Dollars @ the bank.

Thanks GR58 ... yah, those Canadian $4 notes are extremely cool => they're very rare and very pretty (nice combination) I actually have "all four" of the Canadian $4 notes ... the 3 that I've already shown you, plus this one (yes, I realize that I'm not following the rules, but we're coming to the end of this game/display so I am basically throwing-out all the stops!) ... here is the oldest of the four $4 notes: .... ... pretty, eh?

Muddler ..seeing your Oregon trails ... really make me want to get one for my 7070. There is a coin show in Foley Alabama this weekend .. maybe I can find one .. at a good price.
Stevex - Those four dollar Canadians would be welcome in any collection. Someday I might find one ..
This thread got me so excited over foreign coins, I picked up six half dollar size coins today

Number 1 "The Father & Son combo" The first note shows the proud father (George V) NF-12 => 1920 Newfoundland $1 (only "407,000" issued) The second note shows the nervous stuttering son (George VI => actually, "Prince Albert" at the time of this portrait) BC-14 => 1935 Bank Of canada $50 (only "32,500" printed! => and only "55" notes in the Canadian Paper Money Society registry) ... the 1935 notes were printed in two series => an English series and a less common French series (shown here) Thanks for allowing me to slip-in my paper-money examples! Awesome show, everyone! Cheers to us! 1 - 1920 $1 Newfie Note & 1935 $50 Canadian/French Note 2 - 1900 & 1904 Canadian 3 x $4 Notes 3 - 1915 Canadian 25 cent piece 4 - 1948 Canadian 50 cent piece 5 - 1902H Canadian 25 cent piece 6 - 1951 Canadian Low Relief quarter 7 - 1980 Canadian quarter - error - on one cent planchet 8 - 1909 Canadian 25 cent piece 9 - 1947 Canadian 50 cent piece Maple Leaf Straight-7 10 - 1911 Canadian 25 cent piece "Godless Coin" 11 - 2004 Canadian Remembrance Day Silver Proof (ooops) 12 - 1936 Dot Canadian 25 cent piece
