Hmmm... Problem of accessing previous post of more than a day old without admin permission, so I can't add pictures into the 1917 section, perhaps will make it up and call it "Upgrade Day" after all the years are completed. Just counting and have 7 more days to go before completing this series, so this is a great post for checking inventory.   Moe: Don't start up another series yet or I will break my piggy bank.

1939's already! I try experiment with different lighting source, and looks a bit blend for the first 2 coins, loss some details also. 1939 P   1939 D   1939 S Bought this not long ago on the bay, seller didn't have good pictures for this ANACS MS 65 slab coin, took the chance, glad I did.

That 39-S is interesting to be so worn or weak on the periphery but still have that amount of central detail. I wonder if it was some sort of striking anomaly like a Grease Filled Die, thin planchet or weak strike.

I vote for weak strike or worn die, I have a 25 D or S looks similar but in better shape.
