Well, not exactly noodling, but I am happy to call this my find of the week.

Cashed in at the bank yesterday. Both clean and crisp with just slight centrefold. The edge staining on the $5 is much less obvious to the eye than in the scan.
I would happily say aUNC.

... Happy New Year to all the friendly Coin Community Family members

Just got back from a very relaxing vacation camping on a beach in South Australia .

During that time I kept an eye on my change, and also checked my notes. Found a 50 dollar bill with "Radar" serial number . Pic attached below

Nice score Squire.

I found the 2012 10 cent piece which when I picked it up I thought it was a broadstrike, but on closer inspection is a heavily die clashed coin (on the obverse):

Also, found this $2 Rememberance with a very light right poppy. In some photos it looks normal, but I held onto it because of the light pressure punched into the blank.

Hmmm...I don't really see any of the typical evidence of Die Clash on the obverse.

Any chance you can add some pointers to any marks you can see?

The following are some images of one of my 10c Die Clash Obverses.

Hi Nancy, I thought these areas may have been something. It seemed the nose, the hairline near the eye, the lower cheek corner & then through the central face line had a deep crease/line through a minting process. Then again I'm not the coin expert.

I wonder it they might be a result of some debris on the die that got struck through. It really doesn't look like Die Clash marks though, and I'm not an expert either.

Can someone tell me where I can get Armaguard and Chubb rolls? I have been wanting to do noodling for a while now, so far I have gotten $70 of 20s and $50 of 50s but I am only looking for commemorative coins, what else should I look for?

Your bank, but not all branches get the big bags. The bank branch I go to only has the little ziplock bags for example.

There's a lot of things to look for: anything with 10 million or less made is a good start (see http://www.ramint.gov.au/designs/ra...igns/20c.cfm and http://www.ramint.gov.au/designs/ra...ns/50c.cfm). Anything old and still in good condition too. For the 20c, look out for http://triton.vg/20-66.html and for the 50c look out for http://www.cruzis-coins.com/50c/2000mi.html
There are probably other things to look for but those are the main things. If you don't have a McDonald's guide yet it would be a good idea to get one and have a read through the decimal section.
