Quote: As well as a few rolls worth of BU 1976 IKES. I bought a bag of 1976 from a guy in Washington state for $1100. Cost him $70 to ship. Took me years to spend them.

I think this guy should be given the boot.... I have a feeling he's lying about this, having everyone salivate at his posts. While, yes, my local dealer has confirmed that bags can be gotten, it is virtually impossible. Never once have I seen anyone on this entire site unwilling to give up a little info. I have found the coin roll hunters to be some of the coolest, most willing to share their hobby people out there.
Something doesn't add up with him!

I think you guys should not be so hasty. I don't think he's lying. A lot of searchers don't like to give up info.... well I mean the half dollar searchers. I have found that a lot of half searchers like to keep to themselves. So if this guy doesn't want to share, I don't blame him.

Quote: Another magnetic coin-a fake quarter dated 1865 (but a George Washington Style Quarter 1932-1998) the size of an Ike. There are two other recent threads about that. Does it say FACSIMILE?

I would love to get my hands on a $1,000 bag of large dollars. I've ordered $100 bags before, usually whatever the bank has on hand at its main vault, but was never actually able to get anyone to call and request a $1,000 bag. The saddest part is that I know they can be ordered and they have plenty in vaults just collecting dust. I actually just picked 40 Ikes today when dropping off some halves.

Seems a little too good to be true if you ask me. Thats a lot of silver in each bag.

I have seen bags like these before, but I don't know the silver content. One bank I went to had a bag with $385 in Ikes. I was short on cash at the time, and took their halves instead. My bank can order $500 bags of halves; I would think that they could do Ikes too.

Something's just not right here. If you can get $100 bags of large dollars from a bank would they not be counted and bagged by machine? If so, I would think things like the Excalibur gaming token, the counterfeit Seated dollar and even the ASE (due to size variance) would be rejected.

Would love to know what banks people have gotten the $1 coins from... I have been searching $0.50 and actually scored a 40% one yesterday that was just sitting in the tellers tray! LOL
