At the same time, are you not going to get at least one and have a coin missing from your collection?

Wow. The obverse (?) isn't bad.

Yeah, and I've got three coming. Methinks two of them are going on ebay. Bet the aftermarket premium on this one is pretty low. But you never know, there are lots of devout monarchists out there!

ebay sellers are claiming to have these "in hand" and "ready to ship". Some say it is already sold out. The Mint has not even put the coin up for sale other than by subscription, Master club members have not been given the promised advance notice of this new coin and no dealers are taking orders. Granted it is an ugly coin - designed by an anti monarchist for sure - but is anyone else concerned about how the mint is treating this coin? No pomp, no public announcement, no nothing. Then again, maybe they are truly embarrassed by this one (and rightly so).

I have these coins in hand, I'm a master club member, I got 30. I don't believe they're sold out.

Rockdaddy22, how did you get them? The e-mail only went out three days ago to those who subscribed and as far as I know this is the first anyone knew of the coin. I'm MC too - there has been no MC communication from the Mint regarding these coins.

based on data from other jubilee commemorative coins, this coin may never sell out unless RCM makes it a limited edition 20 for 20, what if mintage only 10,000?

This coin will guarantee sell out, if I could buy all of them I would. $20 for $20 you can't go wrong, I hate the design but like I said $20 for $20 for that price it will sell out. If they have to, they will offer master club members a large lot to get rid of them.

I received the same email, and noticed today they had charged my credit card $600 for 30. My mail lady delivered them this afternoon. I'm in Ontario I'm sure other provinces will get them next week.

I might be missing something obvious here - but I am signed up on the RCM mailing list. Can someone enlighten this southerner as to why I did not get an email about this new coin? Thanks Hey - maybe they made SF and NSF varieties for us!

Thanks, Rockdaddy22. At least we know they have it in stock and ready to ship. My card was charged $60 the day I got their email.
250,000 mintage sounds alright. How is the packaging like? I assume similar to that of the canoe and the bear? If so, do you get ten folders with 3 coins in each? Is it possible to order more than 3 as a non-MC member?

Rockdaddy22, even if you're a MC, wouldn't you be just restricted to the 3 subscriptions? I am in MC just recently so I don't know if there were opportunity to order more.

Earle42, the e-mail only went out to those who subscribed to the 20 for 20 series. There was an option with the last issue to sign up for subsequent issues - it guaranteed access to the coins as well as free shipping. Zennon, you are correct. MC members were limited to 3 coins on the last issue and the subscription - same as the general public. For those who missed the subscription, it is not too late. Just follow this link and you can backdoor into the subscription w/ free shipping. http://www.mint.ca/store/coin/2012-...-prod1240001

As a masterclub member I was allowed 30, they came in 7 folders with 4 in each and 1 folder with 2. Packaging is the same as canoe and polar bear.
