The dragonfly would have been gorgeous on a glass coin. Is it possible they will do more than 1 dragonfly coin this year?

They will do a 25c of whatever the glass bug is, as well. So, that would mean THREE.

If you want blue, a damselfly would work well. Problem with most of the suggested insects, is the shape. The first two were small, round, and "cute" whereas most of the suggested bugs are long & slender and mostly a little scary in appearance.

I was clowning with the ugly and slimy ones I listed. But in reality I wonder if some type of tiger beetle might not be a good one? Some of these are beautiful with a metallic sheen to them. Of course the legs and antenae would need be somehow represented differently.

Maybe a type Golden Tortoise Beetle - these would lend themselves rather well to being glass:

Here is information about the next venetian glass coin that someone in the RFD forum shared:

"The flower is a cone flower with a purple butterfly on it. The price went to 149 dollars now. The mintage is still 10,000."

Looking forward to seeing it, hope it isn't ugly, a butterfly isn't exactly small.

It will be interesting to see it live. Butterfly is bigger than ladybug and bumblebee and (I think) more difficult to produce.
Coin looks very motley with contrast bright colours

Hi,

I was at the post office and saw the catalogue with the latest release. The coins to watch out for is obviously the Venetian coin. I can't describe it to you but it's beautiful in the book. The other is the $20 for $20 wolf. Expect those two to be a hot seller. The other coin that I'm looking to see in person is the mask. It's a high relief coin with a mintage of 6,000 and a price tag of $149.95. I wonder if it comes in a nice box.

Rockdaddy, DWS and Windscar1137 have both reported seeing it (I'm assuming in the next catalogue).
