Lol oh and is it really a concern where to store these coins while you're waiting for a box to display them? I would love to hear the major concerns.

I subscribed for 2 1/2oz o Canada so by the time I receive the box I will have to keep 12 coins in the flip paper... That is not really convenient.

hmmm... do I get it right? Just because "when" the mint ships a free box they are doing well or not? And is it really "free" - let say the Mint pays for it or are we all paying for it anyway? and at last - why would I like this box if I'd have my "coins graded" and they are all in this chubby plastic thing?
Sorry just some stupid things running in my head....

well if you're getting the coins graded, you could just flip the box on ebay. I think there are plenty of people that missed out on the subscription and are collecting them individually.

or might just want the box anyways as the RCM releases so many 1/2oz coins that we all probably have a ton of them sitting in maroon clamshells

You are correct. Many people said they cancelled their subscription due to this.

So why would you cancel since the box is delayed? If your keeping the set why would it matter when box is shipped? If many cancelled they must of been trying to fip the set then

Quote: You are correct. Many people said they cancelled their subscription due to this. If you make the mistake of cancelling your subscription before receiving the box you will be stuck with coins and no holder. You won't get the box and you won't have any clam-shells. I talked to the mint and they made it very clear that they are aware of the problem of box flippers and if the sense you plan ob buying the subscription only for the box they won't sell it to you. I wanted to cancel my 1oz sub because I didn't like the next coins in the series. I didn't realize it was a mommy and babies series. I was strongly encouraged not to cancel before getting the box.

Some people want the subscription for the box and then cancel and sell the box.

It's true that many of the 'flippers' are the one canceling the subscription. However, the core of the problem (cancellation) is because the RCM inconsistency and not being upfront about the delivery schedule of the box. At the release of the series, they should make a firm commitment as to when they will deliver the box and stick to it. Delay and push back of the delivery schedule frustrate & infuriate buyers/collectors. I am sure many buyer/collectors don't mind waiting & would not cancel if they are being upfront that the box will be delivered with the last coin when they first start the series. RCM can also set a standard that the box for each series only ship when half of the series is release (whether it's 3-coins, 5-coins, 6-coins, etc series).
