Like you, Shopaholic, my concern is should I buy another one subscription.
The second set would be nice only in case, if you want to give it as present. Because I believe, that the set will not have the resale potential in the future. But as a present - it will be great!! In other hand - it will be expensive present. I would like to give it to my Mom, like Coin Chick mentioned to do, but it will not be appreciated.
So, I've decided, just to buy other coins in separate - this way each one of them will be presentable, in it's own case, and each one will represent piece of our Canada.

Quote: I would like to give it to my Mom, like Coin Chick mentioned to do, but it will not be appreciated. @Silveroid: Not sure if this is what you meant by "not be appreciated"... I showed my Mom some of my favorite coins in my collection, like the Go7 coins, and her response was "they are beautiful, for 20$ they are really good deals, why don't you buy more!?". I rolled my eyes and promised myself not to show her my coins ever again ...

You got my point, Shopaholic. For her it will be collection of beautiful $10 Canadian silver coins. If she would know that it NCLT with silver content with premium and ...etc, she would prefer jewelry with probably one coin to display

Pictures of all twelve coins are now up on the RCM website. Caribou and wolf both look very nice...go well with the beaver and Polar bear. Coloured Maple Leaf looks good Niagara Falls and Summer Life are my least favorites. The Hockey coin shows an outdoor skating rink with kids playing hockey.

After seeing all of the images, I only like about half of them. Maybe its better to just purchase singles.

I only love the color maple leaf one. I will take that one only instead of the whole subscription.

Actually I ordered one more set after seeing all the pictures. I like their design, and they have a lot of potential to be outstanding coins. If these concept arts follow the Mint's usual style of portraying their coins, then I would expect different kind of shadings intertwined together to bring out the subjects. But I have to agree "Summer Life" is the weakest link in this set.

I like their small "privy" mark on the left on each coin.

I like the privy mark too. Not sure the Niagara Falls privy mark adds more clarity to the subject. It may be one that looks better when you see the coin itself.
At first glance, "Niagara Falls" doesn't come to mind....but flowing water/foam may be hard to represent in a coin.

The drawings look cartoonish, especially any showing people. Hopefully, the actual coins will be better as is often the case with mint products. I think the Niagara Falls coin is actually a refreshing change from the standard overhead view. Anyone who's been to the Falls would recognize that vantage point though to be realistic, the people should be wearing plastic ponchos.
