Quote: it's almost dishonest to show a grading in the title and then a disclaimer in the body
Even most popular TPG companies put a disclaimer on the slab. I do however think that it is dishonest to put a grade in the title when you know very well that the coin in question is not even close to that grade though.

maybe dishonest is too strong of a word, but it is misleading. As for TPG disclaimers, they sell their expertise and reputation. From this forum it seem asyn has a lukewarm reputation

Quote: it's almost dishonest to show a grading in the title and then a disclaimer in the body This is the inherent problem with relying on TPG's to grade your coin. Would you keep buying a pizza from a place that was rated the best pizza in town even though you've tasted better in your own town?

Its seems unjust that he can block people for criticizing him/she/it as they actually help asyn knowing what to do and not to do

Um, so if I see an item that ends in 3 hours, would the seller rather wait a week for payment (during which time I will almost always find something else to buy from them to save on shipping) or lose the sale? I typically pay right away or the day after, but I hardly see that as some of obligation as some of you have said, in a rather condescending way. Just because ebay is all paypal now doesn't mean sellers are entitled to immediate payment. At one time, a seller would have to wait for a check or money order to clear! In my case, it's either waiting for paypal funds from a sale to clear, since ebay instituted these ridiculous "pending" rules that completely hobble sellers, or waiting for other items to end. In the latter case, I typically message the seller and let them know. I have never had a problem.

ASYN, has just listed a gorgeous I.C.C.S., 1916 half dollar with what appears to be an Old Cert. (with seal) and a nice soft toning. Coin has an insignificant small rim nick @ 8:00 on Obverse, however, appears to be a beauty. May even come back an MS-62 after a re-submission? Glenn

asyn, your coin superstore, something for everyone!
You have to wonder how he does it, because if you check out his listed address on Google Street View it's a pretty ordinary suburban house. I doubt the business is run out of there, but why call attention to your house that way?

Quite impressive, the I.C.C.S., 1916 half dollar, MS-60 in ASYN's auction has hit 72% trend value so far and there's still 14 hours left to go on the Auction! All within 72 hours at a start price of $.99 with no reserve, it will be interesting to see what the end price will be? ebay I.D. # 190783497699 Glenn

Love the F19 and F18 grades... It is closer than what they're used to stating though.

He/she is not sounding like they are very smart at conducting business... They have banned quite a few people here from bidding... These forum members are the customers that help to bid these items up to their fullest potential.. Including other serious collectors from elsewhere that we're banned.. Maybe they should focus on their grading/HR skills and not on their hit lists.
