Just received this one. Does anyone know the RIC number as I am not familiar with Van Meter. Licinius I AE 3 AE Follis. 317-320 AD, Mint Cyzicus, VF for overall strike, Nearly completely silvered. Soft strike obverse top and reverse bottom as shown. 18.5x19 mm, 3.3 g. Van Meter 25. OBVERSE: Laureate Licinius I facing left, IMP LICINIVS AUG. REVERSE: Jupiter standing left, holding scepter and Victory on a globe, wreath at feet, H in left field, IOVI CONSERVATORI AVGG.  Edited by IndianGoldEagle

I think it is RIC VII Cyzicus 9,A
Licinius I AE Follis. 317-320 AD. IMP LICINIVS AVG, laureate draped bust left holding mappa, orb & sceptre / IOVI CONSERVATORI AVGG, Jupiter standing left with Victory on a globe & sceptre, wreath left, A right, SMK in ex.
The mark to right does look like a "H". But I think it is a poorly engraved "A". The other details match up to me. The SMK, The "K" is also badly engraved.

Thanks Gil-galad. I looked at the H under magnification and it does have perfectly vertical sides and serifs top and bottom. Sure looks like a perfect H to me. I'll have to look at a few more coin photos to see what A's and H's should look like on these.

H is a perfectly acceptable reading for RIC 9 page 644 although A is more common. This is a bold H. It is a common type.

I ain't disputing it. In this photo, yes it does look like a "H". But I think it also looks like a blocky "A".
