@SA4H: well said

@Coin_Chick: I second Money_Penny. the beaver can still be found at dealers for issue price (and I venture to guess it can be had for less given a bit of time). Given the sheer number of coins that dealers are allotted and do purchase, the less than 10,000 in mintage coins almost always "sell out" at the Mint, but can be found lingering in post offices and dealers for months to years.

I'm still torn between the 5OZ, Gold Artic Fox and Gold O series collection. In terms of getting the most value I have to go with the O Canada subscription just because you're paying about 112$ over spot price of 1/10th of gold.

The maple is gorgeous but paying 340$ over for silver just boggles me.

@ ksimms3 - Considering how well the 25th anniversary fractional set is doing and how aesthetically pleasing the 5oz coin is, in my opinion, the 5oz is the one to get. The 5-coin O Canada subscription is $90/ounce (and is a bit of a duplicate to the wildlife silver bullion series) and the 5oz coin is $100/ounce so the difference in cost or how comparatively overpriced they are is negligible. It is difficult to say that one of the mint's NCLT coins is significantly more overpriced than any others when they are all a bad deal if you are looking at your purchase as a bullion buy. I would go for what you like the best and what you think is the coolest and most unique. For me, it's the 5oz coin. I love the heft of these coins and the design is a perfect compliment to my fractional set. I think the 1oz silver 25th anniversary coin is a pretty uninteresting design. I want to like it but it's just not that intricate of a design and a little boring in my opinion (and if you want to consider a bad deal when looking at value of silver...this one takes the cake @ $110/ounce)

1oz Silver Maple Leaf - yes design isn't so great, but the coin is "must have" for the SML collector. It isn't bullion and good addition to 25th Anniversary product(s)

5oz - Perfectly match the Fractional Set, and not overpriced (the same price as for 5oz Penny), but due to the cost can't be purchased "just because it nice"

1oz Subscription - I think only by chance it similar by it's idea to the bullion, due to Wildlife series, but new coins have Proof Finish, denomination $25, good mintage and more important - very nice design...good work.

New $5 coin....I impressed by design - this is not stand alone figure but the full picture, do not like the fact that it less then 1oz, and they wrote that it will be series - I will think about getting this coin.

$20 Arctic Fox - too artistic, fits more bullion issue rather then NCLT - will pass on it.

....and for now will keep the 1/2oz subscription - let it be.

Is this indication people expect this one to sell out?

The 5oz silver maple is listed as "phone only" on the mint site. I sure hope this means that remaining quantities are low. I'm glad I added this one to my order. I think this is going to be an awesome looking coin.

A friend of mine planned to order 2 x 5oz coin next weeks so I emailed him as soon as I saw latest posts here. He waited about 30 minutes on the line and a stock rep finally told him they only had 2 left. He grabbed both so let's see if they really change the status soon or if anyone else is able to order some!

Even if it is sold out at the Mint, I'm sure the dealers and Canada Post will have some. Just wait and see.
I ordered one only, I think it will look really nice beside my fractional set.

Not 2500 coins gone already, we don't know exactly how many they had.
