If you collect coin, the 1/2 oz set gives you more Ag and diversity for the same amount of dollar. If you plan to sell, that's another story.
I ordered 1 Dino, thinking about the 25th 1oz as well.

Out of curiosity, what's with all the hate here?
Why do so many people care what others do with their coins/subscriptions?
If its because they sell to make profit - It's simple...Don't buy?
I fail to see the problem here.

@deal_with_singh: "Hate" is a very strong word and one that I don't believe is accurate when describing the discussions that go on here. Yes, there are sometimes "lively" and "passionate" discussions over differences of opinion, but that's all they are.
The culture here on CCF is a bit different than that of what you are used to over at RFD. It tends to be more about education and sharing knowledge about coins vs. how to maximize profits from the resale of popular coins. There's nothing wrong with either model, but it does lead to some "interesting" discussions here on occasion.
Also, there are quite a number of young collectors who participate on CCF. Please be mindful of them as you prepare your future posts.

Perhaps the magicians at the RCM could design a coin case with a mirror on the inside top,and when you open it you'd swear ... you got your money's worth.

Quote: "lively" and "passionate" discussions over differences of opinion, but that's all they are. It is always good to have alively and passionate discussions /debates and I do agree with you that there are 2 different cultures and sometime we do butt head. What bug me and some other RDF folks is the personal accusation or attack when we offer to help. Yes, RDFers are tend to be flipper and hoarder but we are also coin collectors. Yes we are sometime out to make a profits but not everything we say or do is about profits. We do point out to people when there's a good deals and how to maximize the return of an investment. Not everyone has the luxuary of buying every coin they love or like and our advises usually lean more toward how to best get the coin you want without having to get a second job for it.

To Lostwords: Thats all correct. But : Quote: Not everyone has the luxuary of buying every coin they love or like and our advises usually lean more toward how to best get the coin you want without having to get a second job for it put yourself on place of collector, that can't afford buying everything that he wants, and also have no "initial funds" in order to subsidize his collection by reselling the coins for the profit. And probably he isn't MC member and can not buy immediately "hot" item for his collection. So this collector feels and knows, that some group hoards the best items and make profit by the reselling. But reselling tho whom? To him - to this collector, that tries to manage his expenses and plans to buy something later. And later - is already sold out, and he needs to buy the item from the guys, that happy to make a profit. Added: So what we will advise to this collector? "Please skip reading this topic, where we have discussion how we will increase our collections by making money on you. Please understand and not be angry."

I would tell that collector to act quick when they see a coin they like. Not to wait and see what's hot and then it's already sold out.

Quote: And later - is already sold out, and he needs to buy the item from the guys, that happy to make a profit. @ Silveroid Why is everybody always always blaming "the guys"? It just happens these guys are MC members. Why are we not blaming retailers, especially the large online ones, and the post office for reducing the amount of stock that is available from the Mint website. Why are we not blaming the other guys who go to the post office and reserve coins before the general public is aware of them. Always got to blame some guy but never the institution really responsible for the problem. I think I take offense at your comments because I am a MC member who flips a few coins. Is it really our fault if the Mint makes 20,000 coins and 1/2 are allocated to retailers and 1/4 goes to the post office. The mint only sells a small number of coins through its site. If you want to blame someone blame the Mint. Ask them to make more coins available to the public through their web site. Don't forget retailers are obligated to maintain a price for their coins, to a point. I constantly see new release coins marked up to ebay prices at my local retailer. We need to stop MC member bashing.

Wow 1/2 oz or 1 oz subscription. I purchase the 1/2oz subscription and will keep it,it's 12 coins plus one colored and I like the diversity. The 1 oz is also a great set,but for me I like the maple leaf wild life series, next one I hope is the Beaver. I buy those coins for $3 dollar over spot, depending on the price of silver. That being said I really like the 1 oz leave it to beaver coin. Buy what you like.

I am so sick of hearing about this if people want to sell coins so be who is anyone here to tell people what they can sell and not sell, coins are commodities why should retail dealers be the only ones allowed to profit. As for prices the RCM has absolutely no say in what a retailer sells for that is called price fixing and is not allowed they can sell their coins for any price they like any any time.
