I've bite the bullet and subscribe to both series. Considering that I like the 1oz series better but at $40 for 1/2oz coin, I don't think we can get cheaper coins (considering the price vs silver content) than that from RCM. Wondering how long I have to wait (I've subscribed on Monday, 02/18/13)............?

Quote: I think from now on I will make each item a separate order. That's what I do now. It is much easier to know which coin is shipped and which one is still on hold. Also if for some reason you decide to cancel the order, it is less likely it will mess up other orders

Quote: just realize the face value is 25 dollar, not 20 as usual correct, and this makes this series more unique.

I noted when I logged the Beaver into my inventory that the 2011 Toronto map coin is also $25 but 2 ounces.
Maybe they made it 25 dollars just to make the series unique. Or to differentiate between the previous 1 oz $20 Beaver and this 1oz $25 Beaver with kits.
There have been very few non-Olympic $25 coins over the years. I like the change.

Why don't they just stick with some "standardize face value" for each silver size coin..... too many variations for face value denomination and different silver content..... all of these giving me headache.
I rather stick with something like 1/20oz 1/10 oz, 1/4oz, 1/2oz, 1oz, 2oz, 5oz, 10oz, etc AND the face value denomination should go to similar flow.
The SML is 1oz silver w/ $5 face value while the fox has less than 1oz & $20 face......plus many other examples..... talk about randomness.

Received the Beaver coin today. No case. Only the coin in a cardboard box.

For those who have received the 1oz Beaver, have you noticed that there is a big improvement to the obverse (queen) side of the coin? I compared it with a few other 1oz proof coins from the Mint, and I think the 1oz Beaver has the best obverse among them all, with more detail and better contrast.

If you only want the box, send the coin back. Keep the subscription. They know people are only ordering the series for the box and are not sending it with the first coin. That's unfair since the advertised the box is ours to keep even if we cancel the subscription. If they wanted to stop people from only skimming the box they should have shipped complete sets, it's only 5 coins.
The mint desperately needs an infusion of common sense. People will always find a way around the system an not shipping the box will only infuriate honest customers.
