Then things go from bad to worse...

Dear rolex-guy,

You don't get 375 feedback and 100% at that by being a scam artist , I asked if was o.k with you for a wire transfer because the item sold so cheap .. I just prefer to cancel the whole deal as you almost implied that I was a thief , I'm the one taking a loss so for you to tell me you won't send the money until I get my things together didn't sit well with me considering my listing clearly states Immediate payment required on this item.

Dear lisnaida1984,

Hi ...,

I'm not concerned. You asked about wire transfer. I was concerned about that. PayPal I have no issue with. I can send you the money right now. Btw, Canada Post will insure it.

If you are ok, I'll send you the money via PayPal ASAP.

Thanks,
Jason

Hi ...,

Again, if I send you the money via PayPal, are you going to ship? I never implied you were a thief.

Dear rolex-guy,

I already told you that CP will not insure the whole amount , they only go to $1000 and I can't take a chance that a
bad customer tells me he never received it and I loose everything ... I'm a 29 year single mother of 2 trying to make a living and don't need headaches

Dear rolex-guy,

The first thing is that I can't leave you with Neg. feedback because as a seller ebay won't allow it , the second thing is I never threatened you because all I said was what comes around goes around meaning when you do bad to someone it will come back on you in some way ...You see all this for what ? you still ended up sending the money right ? And last but not least don't think for a second that ebay scares me or paypal for that matter , they can close my account and I wouldn't care less because that way I wouldn't have to deal with buyers who just think of themselves .

Dear lisnaida1984,

Hi ...,

If you are going to do something to the coin set or me, I wouldn't suggest it. All conversations on ebay are recorded. All I wanted to do was purchase this set.

Threatened me like this will result in more than you can imagine. I do have recourse if the item shows up damaged or not as described.

I want this to work out. If you are looking for more money, I can work something out for you. But please don't take it out on me or the coins. If the set shows up as promised, I will send you 2.9% of the PayPal fees. If I don't pay you the fee, you can screw me over by leaving me a negative feedback.

I swear I will send you the difference on the PayPal fees right away once I receive the item as promised. Again, ebay has records of all our conversations.

I sympathize about your financial situation and that is why I'm willing to help you with the costs. I think it's the best thing for both of us.

I swear on my daughters life that I won't do anything to cause you any grief.

Dear lisnaida1984,

Hi ...,

I want to explain to you where I'm coming from. First, I was ready to pay for the invoice using PayPal. Right when I was ready to click the payment, I read the note at the bottom asking for wire transfer. I thought that was odd since the ad stated payment via PayPal. Regardless, I wanted to get an explaination and you for the most part said it came down to PayPal fees. I gave it some thought and I wanted to help you recover the PayPal fees of 2.9% and mail you a cheque once the item has been shipped and received. Do you know why I bidded on your auction? Besides the price, it was because you were located in Canada and had 100% feedback on well over 200+ transactions. When you decided to throw me a "curveball" to pay using a wire transfer, I was being cautious. Not because you had excellent feedback, but because of the sudden change of method of payment and the size of the transaction.

Regardless, I want to help you financially with the PayPal fees and I'm hoping you will accept it and put this behind you. I think we got carried away and you can call this "KARMA" for me to help with the financial burden/loss on the sale.

Please consider my offer and I will gladly send you a cheque for the PayPal fees.

Thanks,
Jason.

Here is the nice message from PayPal...

Dear ...,

PayPal was recently contacted by one of your buyers regarding his purchase that he is trying to complete with you. Details are as follows:

ebay User Id / Buyer's Email Address: lisnaida1984

Item Name/Number: 1989 Canada THE ONLY Proof 9999 Gold Maple Leaf 1 1/2 1/4 1/10 oz Full Set - GEM
#281067507965

Amount: $3,076.50 CAD

Date: February 20, 2013

The buyer has successfully made the payment and was expecting you to ship the item. I understand you are upset for some reason and was hoping the buyer have paid through wire transfer to lessen the fees. Whatever happens we always trust our members, we believe that there is always a reason for every action. Especially you who had been a long time member of ebay and PayPal.

Fees on ebay and PayPal depends on the total amount of the payment you received,

These are minimal fees and you also have the protection as a seller when you do transactions with us. As long as we follow our responsibility as a seller.

I believe you were expecting the item to be sold at a higher price, if that is the case you can simply cancel the transaction with the buyer and we would not be taking that against you. Then you may list the item again for the amount that you want. Or if you want to continue with the transaction please communicate with the buyer to arrange the shipment or whatever things that needs to be settled.

Whatever concern you have we are always here to listen to your feedback and we will do our best to help you. We appreciate your understanding regarding this concern.

Sincerely,
Katie

Finally, here is the last correspondance from the seller...

Hello Jason Singer,

... (lisnaida1984@hotmail.ca) has issued a full refund for your payment.

Message from merchant: I told you an insult won't get you what you want , don't think for a second I need your money or your handouts .. You've been mean and constantly trying to get your way .. Now if you cancel the transaction with ebay and be nice we can talk about a sale.

So what have we learned today people? If it's too good to be true, it isn't. Even someone who has over 350+ sales and 100% feedback can still screw you over and threatening and wishing bad karma on you. Well guess what, she is now stuck with the 9% ebay listing fees and the best part is, she never sold the item. lol...

On top of that, I've blocked her from ever contacting me through ebay. My question is, if I leave her a negative feedback, what is the worst thing she can do in response on ebay to me?

Any input about this transcation would be greatly apprecriated. I'm sorry to be airing out my dirty laundry but I want you people to be aware of this as well as the seller in case you plan on bidding on this.

Wow. This clearly demonstrates her inability to comprehend what you wrote. I would also have pushed back at the request for a wire transfer and as you said, Paypal protects both of you. No need for her to take a position that she was insulted.

One note though, despite her actions, I don't think you should have used her name on this forum. You certainly have the right to identify yourself if you so chose but I think it's a bit unfair to publish her name.

If I can, I'll remove her name from the forum. I just copied and pasted the entire conversation. Thanks CC-Ottawa for bringing this to my attention. To this day, I don't think it was a scam, now what to do?

What kind of message it leaves to the sellers?! Ah... my last dino auction just sold at 35$, I'd like a little more, I can cancel the auction, I have the ok from ebay (paypal, which is the same at the end).

Too bad!

It seemed like she was pretending to be insulted in order to appear justified in cancelling the transaction.
