A big thanks to Arianzo for posting the photo of his completed set. (Still waiting for the Mint to ship mine--maybe I should have bought from Gatewest!) It should lay any fears to rest regarding COAs. I will say the one link http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ducks-of-Ca...600945642285is misleading--putting the three 25 cent coins in the box intended for the silver coins. Wonder if someone buys it by mistake, thinking he or she was buying the silver coins? (edited to fix link)

I made the mistake of copying the truncated link. I have edited my post and the link should work now.

yeah whats with the mint not showing that the last coin is processing in the order history under the duck subscription. Makes me think that they don't intend on sending mine. Which I would be fine with because ill just go down to the PO and buy it and get a clamshell also.......

I don't get why someone would be going to pay like $270 for 3 cupronickel coins in that box. Only option if the buyer is not aware of what was the original released RCM product.

What's the big deal what coins are in the set if someone wants a the cupro coins in a set they can have it quit your whining no one is asking you to buy it. I can put dead duck feathers in it and sell it if I wish it is clearly labeled 25 cent coins if you are able to read.

Quote: I don't get why someone would be going to pay like $270 for 3 cupronickel coins in that box. Anyone totally unfamiliar with the silver coin subscription will presumably read the description and know this is not a good deal for them. My concern was for those who are aware of the existence of the silver coin subscription and buy/bid on this in error because they thought that's what they were getting. Don't get me wrong, obviously people need to read the details, which *are* there. Unfortunately they don't always do so.

@ Solidifier--I have found the mint often ships the coin and later updates the status in the order history.

It may clearly say 25 cent cupro set, but it also says "this is for the very popular coin and duck call set". He is charging a price that is off the chart, and is mis leading to buyers. I'm sure nobody here would have fallen for this scam, but some body in Europe for example may not know the difference.

You can keep whining too Dcadon I could care less!! I have extra boxes around with no silver coins in them so if I want to change it up and make a different set I can anybody with a brain can clearly see what is for sale here as for the price do you not see where it says or best offer what is it to you or any others what I put for a starting price if you don't like it don't buy it.

Elkslayer, what is the conversation here about? No one tells you what to sell and which way. I find this creative...ask BiBo - he put in this box 3 GITD coins and Dyno call. But your price is too high for duck enthusiasts.
Btw, from other hand - aren't these boxes considered as Mint property, and we only "use" them to hold the coins, that suppose to be there, but restricted to modify in any way?

The Fact is they are saying it is a scam when it is clearly stated what is for sale then whining about the price it may be high but you have to start high on ebay sometimes to recover fees and I am in no hurry to sell I don't care if it sits around for a year or more it will join my collection if it never sells and there is always a buyer on ebay if you wait long enough. And how could they possibly be mint property after purchase or be restricted in any way they are mine to do with as I please.

Oh...it was a joke about "Mint property" - just remind me the situation with Windows OS, and probably other software, where the people are only "use" it.
If the listing in details explained what is the item for sale, and the picture supports it - can not called "a scam". I think the main point of the people, that listing looks like the other popular item and priced close to it.

I actually think the 'modified' duck set is a good idea. It takes advantage of the Mint's stupidity of offering the first silver coin, the call and the box with the sub and allowing people to cancel. Their mistake. Likely they lost money on all of the sales where customers did this. Regardless, I think putting the cupronickel coins in the box is a great idea and having the two duck 'sets' side by side would look great. As for the listing selling them, yes the BIN price is probably too high, yes the description is mostly clear and yes someone likely will buy and then leave negative feedback when they discover their mistake but that's ebay. As for Mint order updates: I don't know about you guys, but nothing on my tracking page has been updated since November. I don't expect that it will for the duck subs and I assume they will just show up at my door sometime before the end of the year - once again, ordering through a dealer will get you coins faster than ordering directly from the Mint.
