So in spending some halves today, one store gave me back the exact $2 bill that I had given for a newspaper a while back. do I add that back here since it hasn't made it into circulation yet, or just don't report it the next time I try to spend it? I mean the thing never left the store and ended up back in my hands, so how do we treat that?

BadToTheBone's calculations were off a little. It should be $16,980 to go.

shadz, I believe the $2 would count when you first spent it, and when you spend it again. Technically, it was in circulation.

someone needed change, so I gave them 10 $2 for their $20 bill

$16,960 to go

Spent my last 2 $2 bills at our clubs annual coin show today on a purchase.

I got 2 more $2's back in change from a dealer after a purchase so I used those on another purchase.

I picked these up from a fellow club member for face but don;t plan on spending them.

$16,846 to go.
