George V Halfpenny With One Side Totally Blank

AlexG New Member United Kingdom 2 Posts	Posted 05/11/2013 11:36 am Hi all, I've just found this coin. I think it's a George V Halfpenny. As you can see from the picture, one side is normally defined, but the other is totally blank. I don't know much about this, but it does not look this this blank side has been milled or sanded. I know that sometimes coins have a face removed for mounting, etc. but the edge on this side is well defined and does not give this impression. Could this be a mint error? Does anyone have any experience with this type of coin? Help very much appreciated, thanks. Report this Post to the Staff
