Thanks. As I don't have one yet (want to) I can't compare.
So, the coin traveled a long trip to China to come back to Canada after some months...

Zero feedback as a seller, extremely bad photo, clearly fake and given that he's selling a coin marked Canada and 10 dollars, this should be a simple matter for the RCMP or Sûreté to deal with.
Wonder if they will....
My guess is he bought it, realized it was fake and decided to pass it on to some other sucker instead of owning his mistake and destroying it.
Why not follow up your question and flat out ask if he knows it's counterfeit and make sure you mention he shouldn't buy any more 'granny bait'?

@arianzo it depends on your luck. I was not charged for custom.
you raise my long time puzzle... should custom charge import duty on the product which was produced in Canada?

@LeonLai: I don't think is luck. What did you order? If it's 0.99 silver or gold is not taxed but Glow in the Dark isn't so it should be taxed. About your last question, I guess yes. Imagine all American buying RCM products (without taxes) and then selling to Canadian customers and Customs won't charge taxes because is a Canadian item ... so finally nobody paid taxes. I doubt it.

I got the glow in the dark coin. The package didn't even have the item declaration. So, no tax for me :)

@ mike, great job I sure would like some tips in how to get auctions pulled! You have inspired me greatly, and I'd like to be effective. I see Gatewest has talked to RCM about this issue. I hope the mint listens. This problem worries me greatly. I'm almost to the point of not wanting to collect anymore. Like you have said even dealers end up with the occasional fake. I'm curious what is your position on the gold plated pennies, can they be considered illegal, since the mint didn't officially sanction then? What about sellers in other countries like India, if they sell the Chinese copies can we still have their ads pulled? I'm thinking because different rules in each country. Any info your willing to share is most helpful. It scares me your comment about being offered fake Superman/ Christmas coins so fast. I'm glad you drop by the thread occasionally! I read all I can in the various other forum topics. I collect circulation coins as well. Keep up the Fight!
