@Silveroid: The coin, although is 1/2 oz, has the diameter of a typical 1/4 oz silver coin, which means it is thicker.... Something to keep in mind when you are looking for capsules that fit.

@Shopaholic:

Thank you for bringing my attention to this detail. I actually didn't think about it, keeping in mind the 27mm diameter only

So, I was doing some research and found something I don't remember.

When the Superman coins were pre-released people was saying that's the first time RCM sells coins without showing the coin design.

Well, it seems that with the $20 x $20 they did the same and they got a lot of success : http://www.mint.ca/store/coin/2012-...-prod1240001 and http://www.mint.ca/store/coin/2012-...-prod1360003

The new 20for20 issued by Royal Mint

In my opinion - currently they more interesting, than recent RCM ones, might be cause they new, like the first from RCM were very appealing.

The shipping to Canada not worth buying 1 coin (better to buy later from ebay).

If someone in GTA planning to order some, we can share the expenses. Just contact me.

The Mint has updated its website with the final $20 for $20 coin for 2014. Originally, it was supposed to be holiday candles but now it is the snowman. Here is the image of the coin provided on the site:

20-For-20

In my opinion, I think that this is the best of the 2014 $20 for $20 coins. The design is fresh and its a neat take on the traditional snowman. I can't wait to pick this one up.

I was completely fine with being done with the 20 for 20's. I even sold them all off. Now they come up with a cool snowman. It might not be enough to get everyone excited about the 20 for 20s but I bet it will bring in new buyers and like myself it might bring some of us back.
Nice coin.

@Canadians_Coins: I think the mintage is going to be either 200,000 or below that. The Mint would be wise to lower the mintage because these $20 for $20 coins don't sell enough. We should get a clear answer come its October release :)
