Seeing the latest news about the future Canadian Superman coins got me thinking (yes, it happens every so often). I collected comic books many years ago; much more than my recent interest in coins. I've still got lots of Superman comics from the early 60's to the early 80's. I used to have golden age (1940's) Superman comics but I got rid of those many years ago.
Is anyone out there interested in swapping Superman coins for my Superman comics? I'd be very happy to drop the book values down considerably if anyone's interested.

Besides coins/tokens/Canadian Tire money I also collect harmonicas (different keys, materials, miniature promotional, pre ww2, post ww2, diatonic, chromatic, signed) Occupied Japan (figurines, cups, toys, harmonicas)
Pokémon cards (being a 90's kid this is where I cut my teeth in trading, bartering, collecting and conservation. I just recently decided to dig them out of their plastic sleeves/binder and finish off the original set, I feel I owe it to them)
I also stumbled into a cat collection, as I type this one of them is curled up on my lap just a drooling and purring.

I collect firearms, probably a 50/50 mix of modern guns and older military rifles. I also collect hifi speakers (speaker drivers) that I spend time in the winter working into finished designs.

I do not realy collect anything but coins. But I do have a few things I keep. I have some German Naught geld (think I spelled it wrong) bought them cheap cause they were so darn pretty. Have a couple dozen signed baseballs that I got the players to sign, some pretty famous ones. a bunch of pre 1957 Wagner cast iron pans, but I use them everyday so I do not consider them a collection. just collect them shiney round things. waiting to read more.

Being a geologist, naturally, I have a collection of rocks and I like to purchase really cool "geological" jewellery for my wife. She has a nice pair of nickel-iron meteorite earrings that are out of this world!! Here is a really nice ammolite pendant, which is basically fossilized mother-of-pearl from ammonites, found only in Alberta. I actually traded some key date Victorian 10-cent coins for this piece, the gemstone person who crafted the piece was a coin collector. I think I got the better part of the trade, these colours are quite scarce in ammolite. Here is some rock, eye candy for some of you. I sold this piece last year, because simply it was too valuable to display in my mineral cabinet and it was pointless keeping it in the safety deposit box. From the McIntyre Gold Mine, Timmins, Ontario.

That's some pretty ammolite. I'm a big fan of stones with play of colour like opals and mother of pearl. Is that nickel white gold?

I used to collect Fossils and different types of rocks, then I transitioned into collecting Stamps, Banknotes and Coins, now I'm focusing on just coins.

Mostly coins, but I also collect a few ancient/roman collectibles. Nothing fancy or expensive, just small stuff like dirty brooches and coins. Kinda hard to get really nice stuff on a student budget :(
