I picked this nice doubled die obverse up at a coin shop while I was on vacation. It is a nice class 2 DDO. You can see the doubling on every part of the date especially the 1 and 9. The tail of the 9 is noticeably doubled and the other digits have nice notching.

Here are the obverse and reverse. I know that this DDO#1 and it is supposed to be paired with a class 1 DDR; however, I don't see the notching or thickness on the reverse. But I must say I am not super skilled in identifying Mercury dime DDRs yet.

Nice. You might want to drop it in the mail to James Wiles for a die state interpretation; as of right now he lists EDS and LDS as "unconfirmed" for DDO-001.

Very nice pick up and images! The one in the CPG is DDO 002. I think this one show is DDO 001.
