Spectacular looking coin. I'd love to own one like that. I'd say AU-58

with AU-58

I'm not experienced enough with the Overton numbers to say, but there are plenty of pros here who can determine it.

Not sure either on the Overton, but I will go AU55. Not a lot of wear. Soft strike on the right stars. Wow it could be AU58. Nice coin.

Folks I see luster beneath the toning and absolutely no wear on the cheek or any other high point. From the photos alone I would offer MS63. A close-up of that cheek would be very telling. This one may have seen nothing but cabinet-rub in its lifetime.
Rest in Peace

That is an AMAZING coin. It looks to have full cartwheel luster, and luster on the devices as well, though the eagle is a bit soft. I am thinking MS-62.

Definitely higher than AU53. I would think it would be at minimum high AU. Please tell your friend I think he/she has excellent taste.

AU 58 because of the surfaces, luster, and eye appeal. I think when it comes to the levels of AU it's more about these things instead of wear

yeahaw!! What an amazing coin, I absolutely love the toning! Well... I love all toners.. But again wow.... This is a beauty!

I'm not seeing any signs of wear either, and it appears to have good luster as well so I'm in at a minimum of 62, leaning towards a 63!! Yet again, what an amazing coin!
