That's why I wanted to clean up a bunch of my minor sets this year, I mean Presidential dollars, sac dollars and national parks quarters could easily be cleaned up for the cost of one decent coin for my 7070. Its also why I was thinking of dumping a second or even third presidential set for my boys just too much to focus on. Finishing my oldest Whitman 20th century type set would clear another project off my table and thats only one coin from being done.

You should have seen me in my college years when I first started collecting I had like 10 projects going on 7070, Washington quarters, Roosevelt dimes, silver eagles, Kennedy halves, Franklin halves, Statehood Quarters. I sold most of collection in college my senior year when I had to cut work hours to just focus on schooling and then I tried to start up again but sold most of it a second time during a economic hard time. This is my third go around and I have tried to stay more focused but I always get that oooh look shiny thing going on haha its why I grabbed a few commemorative dollars and why I started to grab a few commemorative halves its also why I started my sac dollars as I loved the native dollar reverses and then was like might as well do a whole set.

My number one love and what I want to finish the most is my 7070, this was a set I have always wanted to finish when I was doing it the first time around I was even doing the gold page which even sidetracked me more, I think my set is now fuller that it ever was (with the exception of the gold page). I have tried to not focus on too many other sets until I finish my 7070. I already have my next coin picked out a 1859 Indian Head cent in VF heck maybe I will go grab today (was going to get it Monday). There is only 8 big purchases left of the 15, seven of them aren't too bad. I have tried to complete a 7070 for almost 15 years now.

The franklin set I started was because it was one of the few sets I ever completed and had to sell off (I had a MS63 or better set) and I figured when I had just $20-30 to spend it was a nice way to grab a coin and work on a set again I would like to have a complete set again of. Same goes for some of my world bullion it was nice to be able to grab a cool silver piece every now and then when I just wanted to spend $20-30 like my libertad or my maple leaf or my panda.

I was going to do a full modern commemorative silver dollar set but then was like no no you need to finish your 7070 not start a new set.

Don't tempt me with old paper money though I have always wanted some old paper money and saddle blankets.

Hey professor -- I like the old currency. Here's another large size to lead one astray. And a S/N of 10 on a 10 dollar note!

Just trying to help. Collecting should be fun.

I go in spurts, I just added a 1859 Indian Head cent, a 1854 liberty Seated dime with arrows both in VF to my 7070 taking that down to 13 coins. I also grabbed an Austrian Philharmonic for my world bullion silver collection and the P&D of the the Sac dollars for 2014 reducing two coins from that list. I think I just need to do that everytime I buy a coin just get 2-3 of those smaller misc coins I need.
