I was a bit surprised by the quality of the colour job. I have a few of those animal ones and I like them. But I have a feeling after the hype dies down you'll be able to get them for a lower price.

To each his/her own. Coins privately altered after leaving a government mint have not fared well long-term in the past - collectors have tended to regard them poorly. Things change, however, who knows what the future will bring?
