Belgian 5 Centimes, 1914. Pre-war type holed copper nickel. Legend in Dutch. This got to be more familiar during the reign of King Albert. The monogram A in art nouveau style on the obverse, refers to the monarch.

Quote: 1914 Canada one cent. Quote: 1914 Canadian Large Cent: I'd remark that within this subtype (1912 thriough 1920) the 1914 is the toughest to find in any sort of higher grade. While several have already been posted here (including by myself on page 3 of this thread), I continue to be able to pluck these out of coin shop "junk" bins. Here's the nicest example I've found to date, especially attractive for exhibiting traces of its original luster: Dorado - Your specimen seems to have a tremendous degree of detail extant, but its hue and surfaces both seem a bit, well, off. Does it in hand really look that "gold" or is that merely an artifact of the photography?
