I agree, especially with the special finishes on 2 of the 4 coins. Everyone interested in the short set will have to have them.

Quote: Just a wild guess, but I'm thinking the silver Kennedys will beat the other two combined. However, the Mint will only have a bit more than 2 months to sell the Kennedy Anniversary Silver coins, so my guess could be way off They plan on having 150,000 sets on hand when they go on sale Oct 28th. And they have two more months to strike more if needed. They can SELL them as long as they want, not just two months. They just can't strike any more after those two months.

As I said earlier - despite all the whoopla over the issue fiasco...
The coin itself is STUNNING!

Okay, just finished reading the Mintblog report on the Silver Kennedy set and am confused: Coin 1 = West Point Mint and carries a reverse proof finish Coin 2 = Philadelphia Mint and carries a traditional proof finish Coin 3 = San Francisco Mint and carries an enhanced uncirculated Coin 4 = Denver Mint and carries an uncirculated finish The point of my confusion is that these coins are 90% silver (right?) and only 1 and 2 have a proof finish with coin 3's finish being enhanced and the 4th being uncirculated. Are there any other uncirculated silver coins that the mint sells? Also, from the above description it sounds like the TPG will not be grading opened sets of this item. I don't know, but I'm confused again.
