Continue updates/upgrades on my Dansco 7099 and more than likely acquire more Colonial/post Colonials. I might change gears slightly and move into some silver. Always wanted to complete a common CC set of each denomination since Carson City is dear to my heart :-)

I am going to keep working on my uncirculated Lincoln set. Need 13-S, 15-S, 17-S, 18-S, 22-D, 24-D and 26-S. Finding these to be very scarce, very expensive or both. Probably won't be able to get that all done in 2015.
Someday maybe I will upgrade my 09-S from VG to uncirculated.
Still need an 09-S VDB and the 14-D is also a VG. Not sure I will be able to afford those in uncirculated anytime soon!
And take some new pics of my Lincoln set - lots and lots of changes there.

Good thread! My goals are as follows: 1. Find a direction that I want to go. Currently a grad student without much money but I just loooove my danscos. If I have 10+ coins in a series I will still have the urge to get an album to hold them, then of course I have to (try to) complete the set. 2. Get back to work on my Morgan date set. I've gotten distracted recently with my lincoln 7100 3. Continue Work on my 7100 (currently my favorite) 4. Finish up my Jeffereson nickels album. I'm so close! 5. Work on my ATB circulation finds. 6. Hope that the dansco 7144 territories page finally comes back in stock so I can mark that off as done. I refuse to pay $21 plus shipping to get the whole album and only use one page haha I guess listing things out kind of helps me set my priorities! I can probably put my Washington and half dollar albums on the backburners for now!

Same as for most years, to try and find SOMETHING I actually need for my collection. (And which I can afford)

I am thinking about starting some new sets next year. Right now, I am leaning toward a set of modern commemorative half dollars but might consider starting a set of either buffalo or Liberty nickels. I will also step up searching my change as many of the later dates in my albums and folders need to be filled.

I continue to acquire best value for money World coins, ancients to modern, all cultures.
Part of this involves U.S. classic coins. I am slowly acquiring a good set of the more the common 19th century and early 20th century type coins. Because they are part of a much larger collection, VF condition for the silver and bronze is OK for me, but I also have a couple of nice U.S. gold pieces already.

Love this thread every year because it helps me focus for the year and most years I achieve the goals I list here.
1) Keep my modern sets up to date. 2) Complete my UNC Jefferson set (that's a biggie... it's about 1/2 done). 3) My slabbed Franklin set is missing 19 (out of 50) coins... let's add at least 6 coins to that set. 4) Make some progress on my classic commems (let's say... add at least 3 coins).

Jbuck Quote: Spend them! Might need to roll them first, for purchases over $10-20. I guess no problem. But if I really get hooked, (many-many boxes), going to need a DUMP.

Finish the insulator hobby reference book I am working on so I have more time for CCF (short reprieve over the holidays here).
I also want to sort through my collection with my Cherry Picker's Guides in hand, want to make some plexiglass "album pages" for my Kennedy set; and possibly start up roll searching again.

My short list of coins and currency to look for this year is as follows: - 1909S VDB Lincoln Cent in RD MS60 or better
- Proof Seated Liberty half dime in PR63 or better
- Proof Mercury dime in PR67 or better
- Series 1896 $5 Silver Certificate ("Educational")
- Series 1923 $5 Silver Certificate ("Porthole")
- Series 1923 $10 Legal Tender Note ("Pokerchip")
- Series 1914 $20 Federal Reserve Note (Red Seal)
I'm only planning on attending one major coin show this year, so we'll see how many of these I actually get. If I don't find much of what I'm looking for at a price I can afford, I might decide to branch out and see about picking up some error coins and bills since I currently don't own any.

Goals off the top of my head: 1. Continue learning and acquiring new goals. 2. Finish (or at least get close) on a date set of braided hair large cents. 3. Continue building Peace dollar set(s). 4. Get better knowledge of organization and safe-keeping procedures. 5. Start at least one new set. 6.Have at least 3-5 really nice coins to show off in the thread "post your favorite numismatic purchases of 2015" next year. :)
