Hi all, I have read about how the zinc coins get caught up in the copper plating, diluting it to brass. Are these examples of the brass plated coins? I am pretty certain about the 97-D, not so sure about the 83. A regular 94-D is for comparison.



Are-These-Brass-Plated-Cents?

I can't say for sure but the odds are the 97 is and maybe the 83 also.

I would agree with John1...and would probably only keep the 97, there are better 83's out there and they really stand out
