Congrats, CoinCanuck

Just curious - did you receive them "in hand", or you've meant - ordered?

The best thing in obtaining two of the same coins, that it always possible proudly display the obverse and reverse side-by-side.

Do you think the gold coin will perform well? I doubt it will be more popular than superman...

Thanks Silveroid,

My rep had reserved me two gold coins this morning and I just confirmed to her that I would like to order both.
It's hard to tell, but I think this coin is going to do very well. It's a fresh theme from the RCM and the mintage is low. I think it comes with a pocket watch and will no doubt be in a cool case/display.

It sold out for Master's Club within hours.

Elk - "Pay attention boy"
This is arguably the most "fun" theme on RCM product ever!!
This "fun" factor and the fact that most coin collector "folk" spent many hours during their toddler years in front of the tube on Saturday mornings with these "fun" friends...will make this series a huge success...

The people on other site reporting that it sold out.
So this was sold-out on Pre-MC release....but for sure they reserved some for MC release, and - be stay awake at midnight of 21-st - it probably will pop up on the dealers site.

I am not sure, Electrum, that this desired theme for general collector....my kid for example skipped it, by watching Disney's Mickey Mouse club House and continued for Disney / Pixar animation.
I also find the Looney Tunes "too cartoonish"....and the coins with doubtful design.

Anyone remember 2010 and the 60th anniversary low mintage Peanuts coins that came out? Sure they weren't RCM products (though the Mint did sell one from Pamp) but they have not been terribly popular with collectors even with lower mintages than these newest cartoon coins.

I collect loonies and toonies but not of this variety - will pass on these!

My preference is for the more traditional/historical themes.

They're not listed on the masters club section of the RCM website but there is a new blacklight sensitive coin that I haven't even heard about yet.

Silveroid,
I don't doubt your kid is not too familiar with the Looney Tunes...and readily familiar with Disney themes...
Disney is still in play for youngster's today.
Not so with the Looney Tunes gang...
For some reason, Looney Tunes have not capitalized on their popularity with recent generations...perhaps, for political correctness...reasons...as much of their story lines could be very offensive for today's ultra sensitive world...
However, judging by those I've spoken to who watched them regularly in their younger years...Bugs, Tweety, Road Runner, Marvin and so many more do strongly resonate with many still.

RCM must be waiting until the May release to dump the rest of the coins in this series.

elk - you type like you are unhappy with RCM products. Most of the products a person buys from them are money losers.
