Did my first 2 boxes, I've gone through over 20 boxes of pennies now but I'm really starting to HATE it.
Anyway 13 silvers, 10, 40% and 3, 90%'s. Could have been worse, I ordered 4 more boxes from that bank in girlfriends town and am going to order 4 in my town.
What is NIFC or something like that? I see people using it a lot but have no idea as to its meaning, thanks.
Edit: I wanted to add that I am in the Central Jersey area, anyone else around here?

NIFC: not intended for circulation.
Low mintage NIFC's are kennedy's 2001P and 2002-current. Worth only face value today, but 30 years down the road, who knows. Some hunters save 'em, some hunters just dump 'em -- it's up to you.

Thanks deadmummy, I found one 2007 I'm keeping it. I have $6,000 in halves coming in 4 boxes from each of 3 different banks!

I can do $6,000 too. But it would either:
a) Take me so long to get rid of them going to all kinds of different bank on different days, it will take just as long as getting them in a little at a time.
or b) cause the one unlucky bank that gets them all in one day to probably ban me for life or at least make me uncomfortable enough not to come back for a good long while.
I salute anyone who has a dump that happily takes this all at once. LUCKY!

st3rling,
If you dump bank has a lot of branches, then you can dump it 1200 at 5 different branches. This is assuming you are in a big enough town that would have 5 branches.
I know the cent sorters have a few dump banks and a few source banks. If you had two dump chains, then you could have maybe 10 branches to dump it back to. Still a lot of time driving around that much.

SFWUSC - Thanks for the tip. The bank I dump at does have different branches, but not all have coin counters. Even $1,000 is tough to spread around while trying to keep a low profile. As low pro as I am, I'm still an already known dumper as it seems I'm always the one that is standing there when they have to go empty the machine. So far, they've been cool, which is why I will support that bank. But yeah, point taken, I am trying to find other sources to make me less known. I think its time to start rolling again.

Must be one of the nice things about a large metropolitan area. A bank with a branch in the same town? The nearest one of those is 70 miles from here.
SFWUSC - Nice teller to give you those coins. That is exceptional!

ROLL FINDSI searched through 1,020 dollars worth of Kennedy halves. The 1,000 dollars where two boxes order from the FED. The remaining 20 dollars were two customer rapped rolls I got from a different branch of my bank in the adjoining town of mine. Overall I found 17 silver coins. Two 40%'s in the two customer rolls. Three 40%'s and one 90% in one box. And then 9 40%'s and 2 90%'s in the other box. This is the breakdown by year. 1964 - 3 1964 D - 0 1965 - 1 1966 - 2 1967 - 8 1968 - 1 1969 - 2 1970 - 0 Additionally, I found a 2002 D that was not intended for circulation and only issued in mint and souvenier sets. Overall, a very nice haul.

Luck has run dry. I got 4 rolls at a bank 2 hours away and 6 more from the bank that produced the other day. NADA. I did get some new dates and replaced slot machine dates with nice ones, so not a total waste. I finally ran across my first Sharpie marked halves. Only a few in the 6 rolls from today. I have been spending htem since it is easier than getting to my bank (not the half bank). The production bank wants me to open an account, maybe a small savings account to pacify them and keep the halves coming.

I worked $500 this morning and another $500 this evening. The first box gave me 4 40% and 3 1974d DDOs The box this evening was even better 4 40%ers 1 1964 Kennedy 1 1961d Franklin 2 1962d Franklins 3 1954d Franklins 1 1954 Franklin 1 No Date Walker 1 1942 Walker 1 1943s Walker 1 1943 Walker 1 1943d Walker 1 1943s Walker 1 1945 Walker 1 1945s Walker 1 1946s Walker All told, 17 90%ers and 8 40%ers, one of which is a really great looking 1969d. I also found a 1980p that has been gold toned (most of which has been worn off) and is counterstamped 1960 on the left and 1980 on the right. Just a weird looking coin that I'll probably give to a grandkid. It was a pretty good day overall
