I had to open my OGP sealed box so I could look at my coins. They look better than looking at a sealed box in my opinion. Plus I had a turkey puck in the box I wanted to look at as well. I guess I just like looking at coins I purchase.

I bought coins. Not a box of coins.

Collect coin for enjoyment vs Buying coin for financial gain vs Both.
It's easier to be in the first two category. Those in the 3rd category, like me, will have a harder decision to make - it's always an internal struggle and usually we need to seek wisdom from others. This is why this forum exist.
My sets are on back order.... not sure when I will get it, so in the mean time, I will have to fork out some money and buy a set to be safe. Financially it's making sense to buy the graded 70 set right now (who know for sure of the future) .
Regarding the RP Gold Buffalo that omxfl mentioned, the collector base for that coin is a lot smaller and it's more than 10x pricier for buyers. So, YES, each of the coins/sets we mentioned are different and very hard to compare. We are only making educated guess.
Anyone else have pictures of the set to share? Any more quality issue?

Finally got my three sets in hand via FedEx dumb post. Dumb because 5 sets would have gone over the $300 limit and thus by a free upgrade to 2nd day priority mail. Wasn't thinking properly during the first 10 minutes of the frenzy that day. At any rate the other two sets will be from the second batch of coins, which will probably be no different from the first. Were they worth the wait? Absolutely. Hope that everyone who wanted a set got to order one before the hated currently unavailable status went up. The dimes are incredible and if it were a gimmick to boost sales, it worked. Neither the Girl Scouts or the Civil Rights museum are getting money from their commems, so these special sets are probably gonna keep coming.

I do not trust the "Remind Me" button for this item. I signed up for this option last year during the American $1 Coin and Currency Set fiasco. I was never "reminded" when the set became available after the first run. I just happen to check the Mint's site during an open window of availability and bought my remaining household limit.
I have been checking the set's status throughout the day hoping for a chance to buy my remaining household limit.
I bought 2 sets on day one at 09:01 PDT. It took a week for the coins to be delivered. Had I bought 5 sets as Bizybackson states, the sets would have been shipped 2-day Priority Mail, instead of snail-mail.

The "remind me" button has never worked for me either....
...and the household limit was removed thus the sellout the day that occurred

Over 50 MOD sets were available again earlier today (Saturday). I managed to snag a few more.

I haven't historically been a roosie collector. Seems like these graded sets are possibly going to pop and the deflate like 2011 ASE 5 coin set. I hope I'm wrong but people driving the price so high so soon is risky for secondary market buyers

There are some interesting opinions being posted. Nice being able to see all the different sides of collecting. For me, I am starting to get more slabbed coins but don't plan on getting these set graded. I do like seeing the coins go up in value. I may sell one of the sets one day .. Pretty sure I will keep the other. I also like the thought that the MoD set will bring more attention to the Roosevelt dime series. So I also hope that the 1996 W might gain some value with the new attention to the series. For those that like pictures .. my small collection of 1996 W dimes

I just saw this set certified by ANACS PF-70 on HSN for $369.95 + $10.95 S&H. It does come with a three slab presentation box though. Aren't there laws against taking advantage of the elderly?
