I am looking at getting a 20th century album and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on which one to get. I do want one that shows both sides of the coin. Pics would be great as well. Thanks in advance.

Consider Intercept Shield albums, especially if you collect the silver coins.

Intercept Shield does not offer a 20th Century type set, only a full set similar to the Dansco 7070.

I have the Whitman blue album as shown above and I like it. My main type set is in a Dansco 7070, but I enjoyed filling another type set album. You can complete it without too many high dollar coins (depending on the grade and the specimen you choose of course).

I've been thinking of just getting a dansco 7070 but currently don't own anything earlier then the coins that carried over into the 20th century. I've been thinking about buying older US coins but they tend to be a little pricier and my funds are somewhat limited at the moment. I don't know where my collecting goals are going at the moment because I buy a little of everything. Currently I have walker, lincoln, Jefferson sets going on now. My 20th century is complete besides the type 1 buffalo and Standing quarter as well as the vdb s.

Avshater, Dansco doesn't make the 7070 and hasn't for a few years. Many are beginning to doubt it will ever come back. The closest thing is the Intercept Shield Type Set Album which is a very good alternative.
I ordered the Whitman type book for 20 & 21st Century coins described above and am waiting for it to come in.

would anyone want a 20th century type coin board, 11x14 inch like the vintage boards. Ive contemplated making one but not sure if people would want it. I prefer having my sets framed and hung on a wall opposed to a folder or album so I think it always a great idea but the masses may think otherwise.

I remember seeing a 20th century coin board in the past, so I think the answer should be yes.

Capital Plastics still makes the 3 different 20th century holders as far as I know; 460B, BVD60 and 408B - they look great on a picture frame easel on a desk or hung on a wall.

They do look nice, but they are really for high end coins. My dream is to build a high end Eisenhower dollar set for a Captial holder. One day. However, I think the coin boards are great for the lower priced circulated stuff. This is the stuff I generally like.

Maybe a coin board with the holes cut out the back and sandwiched between glass or acrylic for display? Some of those older style coin boards look super.
