Quote: I can't post links to my "inside info" on these sets because I typically receive it before it's published anywhere else. Hmmmm....it was on my RSS feed last night and in a CoinWeek email yesterday. I think that would be considered to be public knowledge and appropriate for a link but that is totally your prerogative. Just sayin'....

I didn't receive my information from an RSS feed or a CoinWeek email. It was in an email I received around 3:45-3:55 p.m. CST yesterday.

Quote: anyone else nervous that when the sale starts, even sitting at the screen waiting, you might not get an order in on time? I am not nervous. However, everyone else should be if I do not get my one set. Quote: Here's the coin week article on Kennedy, notice how even they use the words "so far" They are just fanning the flames.

I'm very sneaky. Anyway, it will be interesting to see how keys in the Coin and Chronicles sets and the Presidential dollar series develop from these sets. For instance, a Coin and Chronicles collector shouldn't have a problem getting the Marshall, Franklin, and both Roosevelt sets, but the Lincoln one is a bit of a hurdle at around $75-$90 on ebay. And that one had a product limit of 50,000 sets and sold out in about a day. It will be interesting to see the market six years from now on the 17,000 each Truman and Eisenhower sets.

@jbuck
Lucky! I was hardly a collector at the time, so I missed out. Now that I'm working on a series of the Coin and Chronicles sets from Marshall to Reagan, it'll be one that I'll have to pay a bit more than the initial price on.

jbuck,
If you were offered $1,000,000 would you still say no to selling? :)

I wonder if 20 years from now people will ask why people didn't buy every set they could @ $150 each, or if they will settle down in price and slip into relative obscurity?
