Never paid either. You've obviously never attended a major show in Chicago.

Never paid either. Almost funny. In the Chicago area your lucky not to be charged for the air you breath. Highest sales taxes in the nation. Highest real estate taxes or close to it. Gas for you car too is one of the highest. Worst part of this Rosemont show is when the built that place they made sure there is no place to park free anywhere in the area. Although many people park in the CTA lot and walk to the Convention Center. If your healthy enough it is possible to park a mile or so away from there and walk though.

Quote: You've obviously never attended a major show in Chicago. The closest would have been smaller shows in NWIN (when I was much younger and lived closer), but if those had cost anything my grandfather would have paid it. For what it worth, my comment was a friendly dig at just carl, who frequently mentions the coin show fees.

As usual I will go at least one day but I sure hate those entrance charges. That place makes enough on parking and table rentals. On dealer I know will not go there due to some table rentals are in the thousands. And guess who pays for that when they buy coins. I still need a few more for my all FSB Mercury dime Album so just have to try this show.

Sounds like you need to visit a show or two down south.
