As mentioned, you take a risks of the Perth Mint restriking a popular coin, the big difference with this coin, is the issue is mostly in it's intended customers who rarely sell coins, the RCM should take some lesson from this issue regarding mintage numbers. They seem to still have 2/3 sellouts, so I doubt anything will change until dealers are tripping over their inventories.

Quote: I just got my coin today and all I can say is wow! Glad I didn't miss out on this one! I got one of first 15 coins made too! Congrats for managing to get this stunning piece. The COA of 0015, I believe will add $50-$100 to resell value. cause the coin dated 1935-2 015

i highly doubt that number 15 is the actual 15th made. The COA is definitely the 15th, but most likely the coin was just the one the person at the mint grabbed, and put that COA in.
they might (I stress might) hand pick the first coin out and put the #1 COA in it (on rare occasions) but this is a factory style job, you just grab the next one, and complete, then repeat.

With all the respect to this factory and their rules, for sure, they take off the "key-COA" numbers and forwarding them to the proper person, to assure that they reach proper customer.

I have #833. Nothing interesting here - at first glance.
But 833 x 2 ounces of silver per coin gives a total of 1666 ounces of silver.
This number is 666 + 1000.
Here lies the unique rarity in this COA: According to Revelation, God will release Satan (marked by the number 666) after 1000 years in his prison.
The significance of 833 cannot be disputed.
In addition, Year 833 (DCCCXXXIII) was a year that started on a Wednesday. Today *IS* Wednesday, the same day of this very posting!
I say $666 + $1000 premium for my coin. Anyone?

I agree with $1666.00 for the premium but in USD. The more the better

Quote: The significance of 833 cannot be disputed. Absolutely truth. There is a "but" here: In order to expose the significance we can manipulate (use) the numbers according our will, but there is a rule: the real significance is when via the numbers, you flowing from the item / theme and returning to the same theme. Means, it nice to have the Birthday in the COA or Revelation, but it not coin related. Check here your COA, it more simpler: You look at the COA #833 of the commemorative Canadian silver Dollar. 833 ==> 8 3 3 ==> 8+3+3 = 14 The Original SD issue year is 1935 1935 + 14 = 1949 and this is one after next Commemorative Canadian SD (and it also probably will be in this series). From first coin via your COA you coming to the another coin in the series.

With all the respect, it doesn't worth such money. As people told previously, the price driven even not the low mintage, but the fact that many people just do not have the coin.
I believe, the price will settle at CAD 600 - 650. Time will tell, but interesting case.
Btw, no point will be to hunt after the next in the series - it not suppose to climb as the first.
Congrats for these who have it and enjoy it, as well for people who managed to resell it good, to get the money for more important things....

I expect higher mintage for the next coin and the first coin in the series always command a higher price than subsequent ones.

If the RCM is smarter, they should keep the same mintage but give all the coins to mc members, almost all the dealers are going to sell this coin for a windfall.

I have to wonder if there's going to be long term resale interest in this series, outside of avid NCLT collectors who already MC members. It seems to me the pool of potential interest is relatively small. But does that matter? It shouldn't. The ladybug was the first of it's kind and creatively unique. But this 2oz SD is a rework of something that already exists and for anyone who's interested in silver dollars, now or in the future, they can still buy the real thing. As well I think we can all reat assured that RCM has will continue to churn out various redos if there's any indication of marketability so it's not as if future buyers will have their choice of only a "one-of-a-kind". Unfortunately I'm getting the impression that some of you value this coin only if it's of keen interest to others at a higher $$$, and not simply because it appeals to you as a very attractive piece to add to your existing collection. I think it was John who who rightly said - a MC member wouldn't typically sell a NCLT just because resell price goes up by $200 or $300. Seems to me the volume of resales of this coin will separate the true collectors from the speculators.
