But in the case of Pysanka, for example, you probably haven't left it in the collection - so it was nice catch. The first Superman is always good (although again it just painted).. And this one (Voyaugeur) you spent a lot money for the coin that you didn't like initially

I sold few through a friend on Pysanka Coin. Great profits. ( more than double ) Still have few Pysanka for collection. Betting RCM will milk Pysanka and making it a serie next year. lol. Even though I already own 13 Superman Gold Coin, 2011 Ladybug, 2012 Farewell Penny Set, 14 Zeus, etc I am still buying these coins if I found a bargain. ( of course, not issue prices. lol )

Quote:Won auctioned with 8% off ebay Bucks + other discounts My cost......USD$420 Congratulations on your win. You got a good price when asking prices range up to $1000. The money you made off the Ukraine coins should pay for it. Quote: Now, you bought it cause many people, who were unable to get it, when released, "voted with the dollar" for this coin. So do you started to like it cause it "popular"?
People did not buy it because they thought it would go up in dollar value. Most genuinely liked it. It turned out great that it did appreciate in value. The fact that collectors got hold of it and not flippers help it to go up in value. Now that it has skyrocketed in value, it is now "popular"? Is it all about the money? What if it did not go up in value? Would it still be bought?

Thank you MoneyPenny.
If seriously counting between Pysanka that I sold after appreciation and Voyageur that I bought after appreciation.
I sold 5 pcs Pysanka Silver Coin, took back my cost then adding USD$25 to get 1pc 2oz Voyageur Silver Coin.
So profit from 5 Pysanka +'USD$25 cash = 1 new Voyageur.
p.s I seldomly sell coins. Pysanka coins were sold through a really nice friend of mine.

Simply put this coin is in good hands, most pp or higher mc members really couldn.t care if this coin reached 600 or 800 but at some point there is that insane price where you have to think about selling.

Don't get me wrong. Imo, the Pysanka coin doesn't worth an issue. And the fact that you managed to predict it's rise, got 5 of them, and for the profit you scored to get the Voyageur coin - congratulations. But here I can answer the MoneyPenny: Quote: Is it all about the money? What if it did not go up in value? Would it still be bought? I think, if the coin would stay on issue price and wouldn't soldout everywhere - Justsilver wouldn't think to buy it at all (because he didn't think that it worth purchase - yes, we have not a few RCM coins, that nice, but its all...)

Thank you Silveroid. For clarification, I did not think Pysanka coin worth issue price in the beginning. After coin's value appreciated, I started to learn to like it. lol. If Pysanka coin is just like most of RCM's NCLT coins that values depreciated right after release. For sure, I won't buy it. I like this kind of coins. Ultra High Relief.

The Lion coin looks amazingly cool, and seems to be the series of the "Big Five". But the price is "ugly". It even bit more than RCM price, which we all think about as "overpriced".... Kind of too high for the coin from "nowhere" with so common theme.

Just like the coin and willing to pay big buck for it.

Quote:Received the RCM newsletter email "The next renewed silver dollar will be released in November 2016." Good news, thank you! 1936-2016 Silver Dollar? Yummy No difference from 1935 SD (in my opinion, while 1935 and 1936 dollars aren't same, but 2015/2016 same re-strike) I remember when mario.95 listed it as pre-sale for CAD 249 - I thought people do not like re-strikes, and I was wrong. So let's load the new one, till the price will be relatively low...

@new1954 Many fake on ebay ( ebay seller selling different size Superman Gold Coin or ebay seller selling bare Superman Gold Coin with no COA nor case ) I purchased several 2013 Superman Gold Coin from Colonial Acres ( current no stock, @new1954 can click function " e-mail when in stock " ) Colonial Acres is selling CAD$1850 - 5% VIP discount + 5% tax = CAD$1850 with free shipping. I think it is fair price compared to ebay's sold prices (CAD$2100+ )
