This seller sure is taking a chance by ending his auctions on Sunday of the August long weekend. He'll probably do ok on the 2015 Renewed Silver Dollar, though.
Good time for collectors looking for a deal.

Looks like the seller is having a fire sale. He also has the renewed 50 cents coin for sale.

All his listings are in my watch list. I'll probably bid on the 2014 5oz Maple Leaves coin, but am trying not to get too excited because I've seen prices shoot up in the last few minutes of an auction. Win or lose, it's still fun to watch.

Breaking news and shock: near 2000 people think, that in their possession the coin, that valued closely to CAD 900...but who sets this value, if not the buyers on the secondary market? And couple of hours ago, the bidders have decided, that the coin doesn't worth more than CAD 517This is not good at all. Today they decided CAD 517 and tomorrow they will offer us silver spot? Panics... Together with this - congrats to the buyer

none of the coins has their outer boxes, and that does make some difference.

One lower price doesn't determine the average secondary market value of a coin. For example, I finally managed to get the 2016 Geometry in Art set for $265. Perfect condition, including case, outer box, and COA's. Another set sold for $495 just a few days before my purchase. Many of these coins/sets (except for a few singles selling for 20% below issue) seem to be retaining their value quite well, despite one lucky buyer (me) snagging a good deal.

Thanks! It really is a beautiful set and displays very nicely with the 3oz Whispering Leaves coin.

@Looney4Numi: That is an amazing price for the Geometry in Art set. It's a beautiful set of coin that I enjoy tremendously. The artist who designed the Geometry in Art series also designed the Whispering Maple Leaves 3 oz. coin (and the Peace Tower Clock 5 oz. coin but it does not have the same geometry theme).

Actually, aside from the Masters Club Renewed Silver Dollar and Renewed 50 cents, all of the coins perform horribly if you factor in eBay/PayPal fees. - 2016 Master Club Scallop Goose - Issue price $99.95. Sold Price - $56. After fees (13%) = $48.72 or 50% off issue.
- 2014 5 oz High Relief Maple Leaves - Issue price $520. Sold Price $316. After fees = $274 or 48% off issue.
- Legacy of the Nickel - 6 x $110 = $660 issue price. Sold Price - $551. After fees = $480 or 28% off issue.
- 2014 O'Canada Set - $549 issue. Sold $236. After fees = $205 or 63% off issue
- Anniversary of the Flag - issue price - %159.95. Sold price - $113.50. After fees = $98 or 39% off issue.
- 2014 2 oz Contemporary Art - issue - $170. Sold - $100. After fees = $85 or 50% of issue.
90% or more of RCM NCLT definitely do not hold their value very well. You see the same prices on coin auctions. If you should bring them to your local coin shop, you would get even less; maybe 25-30% of issue if they even want it.

As I mentioned before these sales just ended on a long weekend: Quote: "Don't forget that it's Sunday of the long weekend. One lower price doesn't determine the average secondary market value of a coin." I stated that the Geometry in Art sets are holding their value quite well, and I stand by that, based on ebay sales. Many here do not sell on ebay and don't have to worry about ebay fees. When I say something keeps its value I mean that if I want to buy it I will have to pay issue price. If I want to sell it I get my money back because I sell to someone who is willing to pay close to issue price. I do not waste money on ebay fees when selling something that is "maintaining its value."
