That right, actually even non-MC customer could call and order.
While some reps answer, that "this coin not available", but probably some of them agreed to sell, or forwarded to "manager" (rep with more roles) and he did sell.

The mint did not take into account that people have Internet and read forums such as these. They thought only people that got the email from them would know. :)

on side note, I am glad they have low mintage for this coin. we've been complaining that they release too many coins with high mintage

The mint is famous for underestimating many things and overestimating many more. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason with them. I'm happy with the free shipping. It does add up if buying single coins. I probably bought more coins once I got the free shipping. I wonder how many MC member there would be, if X4X coins didn't count in the total? We at least have a club, I don't of any mint that offers this. It must of been interesting when there was no club. How high were mintages back then? Were there any sell outs when did this start happening?

I dont understand the mint and their email system, I get order confirmation emails, however no other emails I am Mc platinum, I have even asked them to send me emails and sign me up for email alerts but never get any. However I usually find out because I check forums daily. As for calling in, I called in this morning and the rep said it might be sold out before it gets to my level he told me to wait and did not allow me to order.

it really stinks that even though the email notices went down the ladder, platinum plus, platinum, gold , etc. they allowed people to call in and order this coin. I am platinum, and couldn't order it. because it was allowed for all mc, members they could call in even though it wasn't offered to them. so why do we get advanced notice then,if you can just call and order it out of turn. complete bullcrud, and end of rant..

Well, that explains why I did not get one when I am Platinum too.

An easy solution is not to put the coin on the website and only order through their reps. Its very confusing when you can order through the website AND through your rep. I placed an order through my rep and got placed on a waiting list. If you order directly through the website you would have gotten the coin.

Strange he would not allowed you to order the coin when you are at the Platinum Tier, yet people on the Gold Tier were able to get it.

At the same time, people were able to order directly from the website no matter what tier they were at.

Not only that, but some people were able to get 2 of them when you are supposed to be limited to one per household.

What a mess.

I think I might be able to get 2, since when it went awaiting stock I called in and asked to be placed on waiting list, with credit card information so that once its available that I get it billed, then I saw it come available online again and I went ahead and ordered, added a $20 coin to get the free set, now if they process the wait list one, I will end up with 2 from 1 account.

ADD ON: even in the past, ordering anything over the phone, then online doubles your limits, since when ordering online it does not cross check with phone orders, however if you order online first, then call in, their system does not let the order go through. This has worked for me for xforx, superman gold and others.

Massively disappointed with my rep... emailed an order in about 30 hours ago, no response yet. Given the coin is now sold out, not holding my breath.

What irks me: I had the opportunity to buy the coin online when I logged in to check it out about 30 hours ago. I didn't buy online because when I signed up to have a Mint Rep, my former rep asked me "not" to place orders online, and instead, place them with him. I promised I would follow this protocol.

Total mess... and one super p'd off Masters Prestige Member here!

Few coins have been sold via ebay as Pre-sale.

The prices very promissing for the coin and the sellers.

Item # 141824309924 - CAD 325

Item # 111821042865 - CAD 297

They will go up (sell yours while it hot).

So....few clicks with the mouse, you getting $100 to the pocket, plus continue to maintain MC status.
With few negatives:
**possibility to anyone call and get the coin, while Elite members in the waiting list.
**unnecessary selective gold plating on the obverse

RCM did a good job here!

I have a rep, but for the last two weeks I have phoned and left messages, I have emailed and received no response. Like some have said, the reps want you to only order through them but I just order online if I can't get a response from the rep.
The same happened with this coin ,not being able to get a hold of the rep. So as far as I am concerned what is the point of having the rep if a coin like this one comes up and you can not get them to answer the phone or emails in a timely fashion.

This is crazy. I'm MC Platinum too and couldn't get one of those coins either. When I finally got the email, it was already awaiting stock. I saw though web sites like these that others were buying it the day before my email came. What happened to each level having a day ordering time over the next level below them? Through web sites like this, I could see somehow others had a day before me. People bought extra junk just to reach a higher level to find they're getting screwed over.
And what the heck is the meaning of Advance Notice? It would be nice to get the email the day before and let me know the coin would be available at a specific time the next day, you know, kind of like advance notice. That way I could be ready at that time to get my order in. Don't send an email, assuming everything on all the servers lines up correctly and the email goes right through to my inbox the moment someone on the other end hits send, to then tell me this new coin is NOW for sale. That's not advance notice. According to the MC benefits "We want to surprise you, so the coin designs will only be revealed when they launch." That's not what happened.

According to other MC benefits, "With each release, you'll get an exclusive 45-day period in which to purchase the coins". Perhaps there might still be some left if everyone actually did have a strict limit of one.

And for those getting more than one, obviously they are not for your personal collection and you're just looking to flip something and make a quick buck. Bragging about your cheating of the system, while those who wanted this for there personal collection couldn't get one, is not a way to make friends. Mind you, if I could have done it, I would too. I just would not post it publicly in the same forum as others who missed out.

Got my rep email yesterday at 8:25 am but only managed to see it this morning as I was away for work. Still replied to my rep today saying I will take one. Probably a long shot.....
