did manage to grab 3520 nickels today, and amongst them were a 1938, 1939-S, 1941-S Large S, and 1950 Philly Jeffersons, along with 3 2009-Ds.
Very nice!

Searched my usual $20 from the credit union, and found a 2009-P, a 2009-D, a 2019-P 5c WDDR-004, a 2019-P 5c WDDR-048, a 2014-P 5c WDDR-015, and my favorite: a 1938 5c WDDR-003.

The '38 is my first traditional doubled die from coin roll hunting.

Finished the last 10 rolls of a Loomis box today. All in all for the box, I found 2 1939-P's, 10 1940's, 13 1950's, and a 1945-D War Nickel, which was an album filler, for a total of 26 pre-1960 finds, plus a Canadian (modern). Not a bad box, even though the only real find was the 1945-D.

So now I just have 6 more holes to fill. Cheers!

Thanks, jbuck!

Went through 4 rolls of customer rolls that I got yesterday, and found a 1935-S Buffalo nickel, which was not expected. I really like that bank branch, because they usually have good (customer) rolls, but ever since they hired a new teller, she's been very stingy. But I guess she was in a good mood yesterday, maybe because it was Friday, and she actually went and got 4 rolls from another teller. Just gotta keep trying, I guess :-)

Cheers!

That's a good find, AllSeasons. Are you going to post a pic of the Buffalo nickel?

I got stiff-armed by my last $20 batch at the credit union. Just one super minor line-in-the-door DDR. So I tried rolls from a different bank. First MWR, I saw a dark tarnished nickel—a 1945-S. Not a bad start!

Seems like there's some good juju going around. Aside from getting a TON of 2023 P in MWR (circulated rolls, which was bound to happen sooner or later), the hunts on my end lately have been stellar.

I bought a box two weeks ago that was evidently assembled in 2016, as that was the latest mintage in the rolls. Brown rolls instead of today's white ones. In that box we had 38 finds which included two buffalos, two War Nickels, two 2009 P and the rest pre-1960s (no keys or semi keys but a great box).

This week a number of both CWR and MWR and more goodies. Yesterday 24 CWR and a single MWR; the MWR gave up a 1902 V nickel. Today, 24 MWR and a single CWR. The CWR had a 45 P in it, and thr MWR spat out a bunch of 2023 P DDRs. I now have FOUR FULL ROLLS of 2023 P DDR just from the last few weeks. Add a few clashes in there (Jefferson's eyes at the bottom of Monticello, super creepy) and an extreme Greaser from the early 2000s and it's feast time.
