A consecutive pair of "common" Chicago "emergency issue" Nationals!

Probably one of my better notes. Bridgeport, Texas is another small town in Western North Central, Texas. The signatures are of D.A. Campbell as Assistant Cashier and Frank Turner as President.

Another fine and rare note, with only 13 total known of all denominations on this bank in the Kelly census, not including this example.
How do you grade the two consecutive Chicago $10s? I am a big fan of this FRBN denomination.

Frog..
I think the Chicago pair would grade 64 to 65. One note has a very small spot of aged paper and the centering is not perfect on either note. I still like 'em though and it was amazing what the BEP was able to accomplish getting these printed and ready to go over a long weekend almost 85 years ago.
I kinda like the 10$ denomination, too. This pair came from a shop out West where the owner let me dig through his paper box around 10 years ago. I think I should go see him again! He comes up with some pretty good stuff.

Not "rare" by any means, but at least it's not the common ch #3131 you usually see from Ft Worth. Great title and sigs along with a "radar" charter number!

Sky - You are strong on Texas for sure. I only have one note from the state, but it's a favorite in my collection.
I also found it surprising that, at least in the $10 and $20 denominations, Texas and New York had by far (virtually identical) the most issuing banks of 1902DB and 1902PB Blue notes.

Frog... Thanks!
I've been rebuilding my Texas collection the past 18 years after selling off a big part of my collection in 2002. It's a work-in-progress and will never be ""finished". We are just caretakers of these things, anyway. We never really "own" them!
I'm just glad to be able to share them here. I'll post some more later this week.

Bought this nice-looking NBN recently. Turns out to be a pretty tough bank from down in the southwest corner of Kentucky. Only 16 total notes reported of all sizes and denominations in the Kelly survey, and the best one in the graded census is low VF. This example is much better, I would say VF-30 or 35.
