Hi Wendell. I'm not sure what it is. Maybe a die chip? Can I offer a suggestion on picture taking? Instead of taking the picture through the magnifying glass, just take a picture of the coin. You can crop it on the computer before (or during) you upload it. This will create a sharper image of the entire coin, and nothing will be blocked by the reflection of the light.

It does look like a couple of small die chips. Die chips along the stems and leaf edges are quite common. Especially for the past few years, more so on Philadelphia coins. You also have a small die crack off the bottom ring of the torch which is hard not to find on a modern dime.

As a bonus, you do have full bands.
