I was given this shekel from an old man back in the 1960's. He used to visit my grandfather & gave me this shekel. I have had it for 50 yrs and I don't know anything about it. Is it real or a replica? If it is real, how old is it? Thanks in advance for any information!

Definitely replica, very possibly fantasy. One side looks to be vaguely based on a Jewish Revolt coin, the other one looks more Roman or Greek.

No idea beyond that, sorry.

Actually both sides replicate, in the wrong metal, a Judaean AR sela of the Bar Kokhba Revolt....probably a Hendin 1388 (year two - 133/34 AD of the revolt) based on the legend. The reverse (OP top image) shows a lulav (frond of the date palm tree). The obverse shows the Jerusalem temple with what has been interpreted as a showbread table at center.
