Since these sold out when the HH limit was reached, what are the bulk buyers planning for these.

Make as money as they can.

But seriously I'm surprised TPG haven't gotten into large graded slabs for entire sets like this. I realize there's some big multiple coin holders but I mean something like 4" x 6" that could be hung on the wall.

my line of thinking , the first run was in for a single coin in a fold over pack , mint 70,000
then the second run was for 50,000 in a pack with other silver coins, all with s mint.
why does this not make for a even shorter print coin

You may have it mixed up with the Enhanced Set that has a mintage of 225,000. The Congratulations set with the SF eagle was 75,000.

Can't believe I still haven't received the shipping confirmation email. Even called and spoke to a CSR earlier today and was told, the same as others here, that there was a tracking# already generated just not picked up yet. She said for sure it'll get picked up today and once it does an email will get sent but as of now, nothing.

Hey Foxwoods, long time, sounds like a few were able to get cancellations in prior to shipping, or they finally ran the numbers and said ok, here we go.
I was thinking about sending these sets back already, will be a tough call, it will depend on if the ASE look like they will grade or not. I'm not really into collecting mint sets, but would be nice to add a few more lower mintage moderns to the collection.

Finally got my shipping notification. Supposed to arrive tomorrow via UPS ground though there's still no scan showing it's been picked up or in transit. Just says "ready for UPS".

Fed ex just dropped my set off, it looks great. Although I already had all of these coins I thought it would be nice to have them in this set as well. Can't deney I'm really happy to have another SF Proof ASE.

Now I am waiting on the repalcement 5oz Ellis Island the I returned on Sept. 20 th. Spoke to the mint, everything looks right, it just didn't ship, mint stated I should hear something in a day or two.

I think if you create an account with UPS it'll give you a time. Just checked mine and it says Wednesday 6pm.

So, mine showed up tonight. It's a respectable-looking set for sure; lots of pretty silver. Other than the S-Proof ASE, the biggest difference is packaging. Where previous years' sets have encased all the coins in a single lens, the 2017 set has capsules for each individual coin set into a flocked tray with a die-cut cardboard overlay. I'll try to get some photos tomorrow when the lighting in my office is better.

No. The 2017 Silver Proof Set also includes a silver half dollar minted in San Francisco. Current sales of the silver proof set are listed as 257,800.

I thought the money coin in this set was the S Silver Eagle, not the half.

It is unless something else goes crazy for whatever reason. Last year's set is still for sale and the major difference is the ASE
