Thanks, Guys (and/or gals) I finally found the perfect last coin for my CSC type set and have a few days to wait for it to arrive. As I've mentioned a few times, I plan on hosting a prize contest when that very last coin is placed into it's home. I do love those circulated commems but I just don't think I'd have patience. I'm sure that some are extremely hard to find in less than 55. So this is just a quick note that I will have a CSC based contest in the next few days. The prize will be a very nice real life CSC That notice is not intended to steal this thread. This is the most fun thread that I've been on in forever. But I didn't see a CSC ever being offered as a reward or a prize, and since this thread is all about that subject, I yapped. ...yes...I know that's not unusual...

Quote: I do love those circulated commems but I just don't think I'd have patience. Moxking, knowing have particular/choosy/finicky you are/were for the MS set, I think doing a circulated set would drive you nuts! And as for (finally) completing your set to your standards...

Naked coin before sending away for grading. PCGS MS-64. (Wish my photos and presentation were as good as Beefer518!).

Most attractive example of a coin I just can't love.

That certainly looks better than a 64, Treemonkey.

Just a heads up - tomorrow has a mistake. It's the Columbia Exposition, but I listed the Isabella Quarter separately (March 22). Although, feel free to post yours on both days!

^ Ok... First the Columbians #1 I bought simply because I really liked the look, and wanted an 1892. It was really, really cheap.  #2 This coin has some beautiful pastel toning, and looks so much nicer in hand. It also comes from a respected Commemoratives collector right here on CCF. He upgraded from this to a 66.  And the Isabellas... I have a bad habit of buying things if they are stupid cheap. The first two were stupid cheap, and it's obvious why.   And my real Isabella. I love this coin in hand -  And for something else to look at;

Interesting thing about the Columbian and Isabella -
No Barber or Morgan collection would be complete without one!

Wow Beefer, that Isabella looks great! I posted these back at the beginning when we were going by date, but I'll do it again. Sorry for the poor photo quality on the halves - they look better in hand. (scratches are on the plastic)
