coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 03/31/2018 8:11 pm There was a problem when they switched over to the plated zinc cents. The problem was like your coin. Bumps on them. They determined it was a zinc dust stuck on the planchet issue that was causing this. So they tried a new rinsing technique to resolve the issue. Pretty much fixed the issue.
