I am really knew at this so bear with me. I've only seen trails mentioned pertaining to LMCs, so what is this?

Hi,

They are the result of gouges in the die. Keep in mind that the flat areas on a coin, (fields) are created by the highest points on a die. When an object scrapes across the die, the high points of the die get scraped or scratched.

Those scrapes or scratches will be seen as raised areas or lines on a struck coin.

That is also why they appear to pass behind the branches of the Oak tree.

As Bill indicated, these are die scrapes, probably produced by a mistimed feeder finger scraping across the die face.
Error coin writer and researcher.
