You guys who were able to place orders had better provide some good photos when you get 'em. That's an order!

I can't believe how crazy this went.

Mine are already called for...and most likely will have to be sent in an unopened Mint shipping box. I don't think a pic of that would help

I was working as a substitute teacher in Southern California so call in time was 900 a.m. There was another teacher in the second grade classroom and I told her beforehand what I was doing and she said, "Go for it." I went for it, and managed to get through to the site, order one, place it in my cart, but I had to enter payment information and I was on my iPhone and by the time I got everything in and pressed the buy button....it was sold out at 7 minutes out. Oh well. I figured it would be a moneymaker, but I was kind of ambivalent about the whole thing so didn't care much. On top of that, I would have never resold it and my kids would have simply sold it upon my inevitable demise.

Wow. I really like this issue. Ya know, this may sound crazy, but I wish the US Mint released bronze counterparts for everything it issues like this. At least us poor collectors could obtain an example of the design. Just a thought.

A couple of quick images of my palladium eagle. The high-relief design looks very good. I'm glad I ordered one! You'll notice that my capsule is cracked around 9:00 o'clock on the obverse - time to call the Mint to see what can be done.

That is a beautiful coin. The Mercury dime obverse deserved to be larger and finally got her way.

Thank you for that pic, commems! It doesn't look as frosty a cameo as with most modern pieces, and that's a good thing.

If not, maybe check with places that sent them in for grading to see if they have one to give.

I got mine today and it is a beautiful coin. So happy I was able to order one. I know I can't take a better pic then commems did but I can tell you it looks even better in person.

From the preview pics I was expecting something resembling milky white aluminum. I'm thinking the mint only uses renders of coins in their marketing, never real coins. But I digress... Beautiful in hand, especially the reverse. Thicker than I imagined.
