@loquixx, if you are talking about the slight texture in the fields of this coin (e.g. underneath EPU), I believe that this is due to some deterioration of the die. Other places on your coin have small dings and marks from being circulated (e.g. on the C in CENTS).

On the fields that is called die flow. The dies fields hasn't had a good polishing for quite a while. But along with that comes distortion of the devices also.
