i would avoid this seller like the plague , they are the bottom feeders, that give all seller's bad names.. Hopefully they have to pay the fees on the items. but I doubt it. they probably just cancelled the transaction, with a problem with the buyers account, etc.. wow, just wow.. perhaps @bobby can weigh in here , if there is anything to be done about it..

Smells like a des-honest person to me wanting to be the winner all the time, even though he starts out as an honest auction giving one false feeling of an honest place to shop the when the price is not what he wants it so how gets won and returned for another try. I would avoid him all together

Yes, he floods ebay with atrocious prices to see if he gets any bites. C-V has done it since he came aboard 4-5 ebay seller names ago.

Quote: It is no different than walking into a store and seeing it properly priced. what you are describing is a buy-it-now price, not an auction. black and white... not even a touch of grey

There are a lot of extenuating circumstances as a seller on ebay. I made it clear from the start I am not defending him, but the pitch forks for not turning something over for cents on the Loonie overall is also not correct. You control what you will pay period. No one can force your max over what you will pay. There is no difference between paying 50 for a BIN or 49/50 for an auction.

This I guess brings into question the true value of these obscure varieties. A lot of stuff I've never heard of or would pay a premium for, though I understand some people like that. Maybe a larger auction house is better for that sort of thing than ebay to get a true value can be figured out. I can't say weather they're shilling, But I do agree with going into any auction with a number you're willing to pay. With shilling you may get pushed closer to your maximum so that's a really hard thing to grapple with ethically if that's what's happening

Are you saying we should follow the rules unless it costs us something, and then we can ignore them?

I don't think you understand the meaning of auction, this coin I should have got for $77 if there was no shill bidding, but now if I want it its going to be $650 or more not just a difference of a couple bucks

Quote: the seller could have offered it to me as a second chance offer You're right gidjit. The seller could still do that if he wanted to. Maybe the seller will read all of this and have a change of heart.

The head scratching part is that any item "sold" (regardless to whom) is subject to ebay's final selling fees... I cannot understand the motive of the seller wanting to do this. For ebay, it is a win-win scenario, as each "sale" generates revenue.
